The Knights of the vale have 0 reasons to be at winterfell at this point

Why the knights of the vale are at Winterfell right now? Lord Baelish is dead, so they're not there because the warden of the vale is there. Sansa has no right to House Arryn so they're not there because of her. Robert Arryn is at the vale right now, so they're not there because of him. Why are they wasting their lives really?

Robin has probably been killed by the Mountain Clans by now while his entire army have their little adventure up North. They all seem to have forgotten his existence though as they pledged their allegiance to the King in North.

They declared for Jon Snow, and called him King iirc, not only the Northern lords, they are currently loyal to Jon and Sansa as far as we know.

Okay,  that makes even less sense than the option that they're there without a reason. Why'd they pledge alliance to Sansa? What did she do for them? What rights she has? What do they gain from that other than die horribly for fights that aren't theirs?

Lord Royce has clearly taken over command from Baelish. Sansa is Robin's cousin, Royce was Ned's childhood buddy. He likely won't leave until the kids are secure.

I don't understand this, why then no letters from robin asking how things are going? Why not a single mention of the fact they're still there from the vale? Why all the other lords are okay with this literal treason? Why is no one touching this fact?

Sansa helped them to get rid of Littlefinger, knights of the Vale were too honorable to kill their ''Lord Protector of the Vale'' Littlefinger but since they were under the roof of House Stark as guests, they didn't interfere with the Sansa's and Arya's execution, maybe they are grateful for that.

What? But why'd be resentful of LittleFinger? They thought Lysa killed herself and they only got to know the truth at LF "trial". As far as they know, LF helped them for vouching for the Vale when they remained neutral at the Five King War. They should be grateful and that's the biggest reason on why they march north to defend Winterfell because they were grateful for LF not Sansa. He helped, not Sansa.

Are you trolling Ser Loras The Gay? :D Yohn Royce hates LF, I mean he really hates the guy, he said that many times before.

No, I am not trolling. See the events as they were in the show, LF vouched for the Vale not being destroyed after the war for not taking the Lannister side. He went to the Vale to be with Lysa and she adored him. As far as everyone there knew, Lysa killed herself trying to kill Sansa. LF became the Warden as the law of the land commanded (he was married to lady Arryn).

What was to be hated about LF seeing all this from the perspective of the characters not us as show viewers? No one knew about LF betrayal in KL against NED. No one knew he pushed Lysa. We did but not the characters.

LF almost killed Royce in here, you think there wouldn't be any consequences for that?

''I THINK NOT.'' :D

This. Plus it appears that at least some Lords in the Vale (referencing a few seasons ago) were none too pleased to have sat on the sidelines of the war of the five kings.

He was clearly just showing that he had the trust of the lord of the Vale (Robert). But even then, where are the others lords? Royce is just the bigger one, but we have a lot of other houses there and all of them were at the battle of bastards at LF command. Did everyone hated LF for becoming the new Warden? What about their alligiance to the Arryns?

Because Royce also declared for King in the North at the end of Season 6. And after LF died, Sansa de facto became their leader.

But why exactly? If his motivation were only to kill LF in a "clean" way, he could simply comeback to the Vale where he pledged alliance and his serfdom. Not all knights that were at the battle of bastards were Royce's.

I had just assumed that the Knights of the Vale didn't need much convincing about the whole advancing army of the dead thing and so stayed to help out.  It's not like they the Eyrie in the winter so they would have an interested in making a stand in the North.  They came to help Robyn's cousin in the North, and continue to do so, and really stopping White Walkers is in their own benefit.  Why not do it with the army that has a dragon?

The show did completely forget about Robyn.  I just figures there were enough people left down there to take care of him, defend against mountain tribes and what now.  I've really allowed myself to suspend disbelief when it comes to the show at this point.

If any of these lords in the Vale care about LF, someone would come forward and save Lord Baelish from the execution. Plain and simple.
