I thought it was a true bittersweet ending.

Especially as it relates to Jon's character.  He essentially saves the world, but nobody will ever know about it or his true lineage.  Yes, he never wanted the throne and he deep down probably wanted to stay in the North anyway. But there was still a sadness to his ending.  He will carry that burden of having killed his lover.  I wouldn't quite call him a broken man, but close.

Well they'll only never know because apparently everyone is keeping quiet about it. And have no reason to, the dumb Unsullied sailed off. Bran could kill them all off anyway. Warg an iceberg or whatever.

Arya was the only character i wad really never invested to but she never seemed to care about wanderlust. She always seemed to care about her pack.

Her closure seemed the most directionless of all the main characters. Her clichéd "hero strikes off alone to go see the world" ending felt like such an afterthought, like they had no idea what to really do with her.

I thought it was a good episode.  The scene with Jon and Daenerys was particularly good.  Can’t help but wonder where Drogon took Daenerys.  Also.....did Bran plan or know this all along?  I was happy to see Jon reunited with Ghost and going north with the wildlings.  It seems odd that Bronn would be Master of Coin.

I'm wondering how long it will take before Bronn swindles himself some of that Coin.  I'm also wondering where the Coin is coming from.  The crown owes a debt to the Iron Bank; House Lannister is bankrupt; isn't Highgarden out of wealth as well? Maybe there's a secret stash in a secret chamber in the depths of RiverRun?  Or will Dorne become the new backer of the crown?

Like you, many will now skip GRRMs books because of the show.

Didn't he realize that? Couldn't he have overseen the scripts?

GRRM never had veto power over the scripts.  I think he was given the option to write some of them, which he did; but stopped because he was supposedly trying to catch up on The Winds of Winter.

Everyone keeps saying the NW doesn't exist but those two crows that escorted Jon seemed pretty official.

I think what they're saying is more that there's no real reason for it to exist any more.  The wildlings are cool with everyone now and the Night King is dead.

And how the hell does Grey Worm know that Dany got a dagger in the heart? Didn't the dragon fly away with her? And how likely is it that anyone would allow Jon to live after what he pulled if they knew?

What is a more sane scenario:

Living under Dany who actually has freed people and gone only very far when pushed, or FUCKING BRONN as Master of Coin?

I dunno if you had better outrage before, but noticed you posted here and figured I'd respond to annoy you.

Why wouldn't Grey Worm know what happened to Dany in terms of her death?  You think Jon kept it a secret?  Nah, of course he confessed instantly.  They didn't need to air that, frankly I'm glad they didn't.  As for "allowing Jon to live," uh, he commands the other half of the armies in the city.  So killing him would probably be a bad idea.  Why that meant he had to go the NW, especially after his sisters showed up?  Yeah, it's pretty dumb.  But Grey Worm isn't gonna summarily execute him, having the sense not to do that isn't a valid criticism.

Bronn as Master of Coin, all day every day.  In terms of Dany, the way the show did it?  Without doubt.  Dany is most likely a tragic character.  Jon probably is too, but it seems you need to see somebody about the former.  She's not going to "win" in the end, it's time to get over that.  Returning to Bronn, why the fuck not?  That's a loanshark I don't wanna fuck with.  There's a lot of ways to run agencies - the head definitely (and in the US case almost always) does not need to be an expert.

Jon should have just said the dragon torched her and fucked off.

Glad you're here for the comic relief.  I feel like this thread is currently what D&D love producing - chaotic scenes with lots of explosions and sooo many extras.

What happened to the Dothraki?  Are they merrily pillaging and raping their way across Westeros, or did they return to Essos?

My brother asked this.  I think they did make clear that were only a few hundred left, both in the last episode and this one.  So in that way, I dunno, new sell-sword company?  They're not that threatening at this point.

Can someone explain to me why the non-stark royal families would accept a stark king if the north is no longer a part of the seven kingdoms?

I dunno, why wouldn't they?  There were the leaders of the Riverlands, Vale, Iron Islands, and I assume the one dude was supposed to be the prince of Dorne.  All of them were right there, and they were all cool with it.  Oh, and Gendry too.  So that leaves the Reach - which I suppose is run by Bronn now so he'll do what he wants, obvs - and the Westerlands.  They never did establish if Tyrion is Lord of Casterly Rock, did they?

Martin has no idea how’s it going to end. He gave HBO a rushed panicked list and that’s how it ended. GRRM is so buried in his sub plots it would be a miracle if he published an ending.
