Nope he gets to be Hand. If that is punishment why not make Jon Master of War?

Well, the unfilled council functions:

Master of whisperers: no need for that one, since Bran knows everything anyhow

Master of war: there is no more war

Master of law: :dunno:

Where's John Cleese when you need him... Oh well, Edmure will do right? (Don't know what that poor guy ever did wrong to D&D)

She complelty betrayed him and began the events that led to him having to kill danny. He can t just act like it was nothing. He should be angry and mad with her!

But she did the same shit in the battle of the bastards he he imedialty forgave her...

It makes no sense...

Yes u r right ...and with the Bob they could have easily lost..it made no sense with sansa - but also what about sam/Bran who made the reveal - did they fight for jon when he needed them. Jon just takes shit - he very rarely gives it out - well in this season also. He is probably still mourning dany. They were all content for jon to get exiled. No body gave a fuck.

The Battle of the Bastards thing led directly to the death of little brother/cousin Rickon, the King in the North. Who may have been killed anyway, but Sansa writing him off as dead while she had a secret army waiting in the wings was the worst sort of betrayal.

Its a shitty ending, he isn't supposed to marry & father children; did he forsake his honor by joining with wildlings? or is he just escorting them? And in the show's context he wouldn't forsake his honor for just himself so...

I don't see this happening in the books at all tho. Wildlings wouldn't return beyond the wall, they've been trying to get to the south for thousands of years, now there is no Wall nor NW nor enmity with the North to stop them, they'd just settle where ever WWs wiped people out.

Now that the WW are gone, there is no reason for the Free Folk to settle north of the wall. Not only is the threat of the Others gone, the seasons are going back to normal and the land north of the wall is not going to a frozen tundra all year round as was evidenced by the sprig of grass poking through the snow. They are the Free Folk, they don't want to be under the rule of any lord or monarch.

That was no betrayal. She knew Ramsey like no one else did. Rickon was DEAD, absolutely no question about that.

Except that he wasn't. You don't just give up your brother/king as dead because a bad guy has them hostage. That's treason to your kingdom and your family.

And who says Sansa knew Ramsay like no one else? In the bedroom, maybe, if all his other victims were dead. But not concerning high-stakes politics. I mean, Ramsay never killed Reek, did he?

Sansa had heard him giving the order to 20 men to attack Stannis in the night. She knows he lays traps and is cunning. She knows he is extremely sadistic and brutal. There was zero chance of Rickon making it out of there alive as Ramsay needs her for an heir and she is fighting him so he needs to get Rickon out of the equation after he wins the battle. She told Jon to listen to her and he didn’t and he almost paid for his mistakes. Ramsay used Rickon as bait to drag Jon to the front of the battlefield and could have killed both of them with a volley of arrows. Sansa knew something like this would happen which is why she tells Jon to give up on him.

But I remember that Jon didn’t want to fight, at that point he wanted to move south but Ramsey’s letter came and Sansa used the argument they had to save Rickon?

The "20 good men" thing became a meme for a reason  It was some kind of clever trick. It was simply piling more onto the already overburdened Stannis.

Yeah, Ramsay had cunning and he did trap some people. But if you look at his track record, mostly it's just him going back on his word or unprovoked violence. He tells the Ironborn to give him Theon in exchange for safe passage, then kills them. He has Theon promise the Ironborn holding Moat Cailin they won't be harmed if they give up, then he harms them. He up and stabs his father when he doesn't expect it. And so on.

None of which in the real world would give you a reputation for cunning. You'd just be a liar and murderer. The North knew him as a terrorist. He didn't actively form alliances with other houses. The Karstarks and Umbers fell into his lap.

Sansa spent most of her time locked up in her room. She might have picked things up at dinner or briefly while walking around or from Reek or deduced through Ramsay's sexual technique. But it's not even like with Little Finger, where he gave her lessons.

This is asinine. It requires absolutely zero insight into the mind of Ramsay Bolton to know better than to snap at such bait. Especially when Jon's strategy relies on Ramsay being the one to take the bait. Which makes Jon an idiot, but we already knew that.

I cannot for the life of me understand why people keep insisting Jon didn't listen to Sansa. He deliberately drops everything and says point blank I'm all ears, she has the floor and out comes, "...I dunno. Something!" Okay, Sansa . Very helpful.

The whole thing is about the Vale army. Sansa keeps it secret for no good reason, Rickon dies, and Jon/Sansa's army is nearly wiped out.

North of the wall was never "frozen tundra all year round" as the show shows. If it were so the wildlings couldn't live off of it at all. It should be colder than "the North" but not everywhere is frozen tundra, f.i. there is no snow on the ground when NW arrived at the fist of the first men in the books, later it snowed right before WWs attacked.

Also we don't know if the seasons gone back to "normal", the show doesn't tell us shit. That grass just signifies the coming of the spring.

True, there are large forests and rivers, it's basically the other part of the North, no different than the North, it's just undeveloped due to the Wall and Night's Watch guarding it, not letting the Free Folk to pass the Wall,

Only the ''The land of always winter'' is frozen tundra all year around, and that's only the half of the beyond of the Wall.

In the intro of epi 6, they still show a gaping hole in the wall at Eastwatch. Don't think it'll be rebuild. No need.

Can't be done actually. It was built by Brandon the Builder using magic and with the aid of giants. Westeros does not have that kind of magic anymore and all giants are now extinct.

I thought it was the Children of the Forest used spells not Brandon the Builder?
