What does it suppose to mean?  Bran is on acid. What is he going to do if Edmure tells him "Nephew, sit down, errr sorry I mean STFU":drunk:

That was a TV series means to show us exactly that. Arrogant behaviour, but no competence to match.

Oh, you have experience with such meetings? Putting your own name forward is the most sure way not to succeed. A typical dumb ass move.

Whatever it is, in the show we are supposed to think that Edmure is an incompetent loser.

The only one who showed arrogant behavior in that meeting was Sansa. Every meeting we know of that's deciding on who should be King or Heir to the King of Westeros, people either put there own name forward or someone else does. Even if Edmure had zero percent chance of being King, Sansa had absolutely no right to tell a high Lord from a different region to basically shut up and sit down. How did the show suppose to make us think Edmure was a incompetent loser or arrogant again?

remember gendry baratheon? bastard son of king robert? the guy who whose birthright sparked off literally every event that followed? the guy who inexplicably rowed a boat for several seasons? the guy who ned died for to protect the realm from joffrey's cruelty and cersei's hubris? the guy with the most legitimate claim to the throne, the others being stannis and a targaryan bloodline that has been completely irrelevant for around 2 decades? whose claim to the throne would have restored ned stark's honor and titles? the guy who is easily one of the purest and kindest characters who understands his common man? nah let's give it to bran who rode around on a sled and knows stuff. also, let's just completely forget about him in the final episode, but hey at least he got it on with arya! right guys?! woohoo!

Being indifferent to gendry, I don't notice him too much anyways. But the whole hookup with Arya was just unnecessary.

Sansa has charisma; she has been front and center in most of the great events that have taken place in the 6 - or 7 whatever kingdoms during these last 8 years.  She's been instrumental for many actions -- and she's survived.  Here brother is king.  She's going to be queen.  Edmure is a twit like Jared Kushner.  He persists in blathering when he's accomplished exactly zilch and sat in prison for most of the time.  Just coz you don't like and don't want a woman to be in charge and tell a fellow to stfu -- well, it's fact on the show and that you hate it is dangerously close to sexist, since you are living in the 21st century, not the 14th.

And in the meantime Queen of France, Blanche of Castile, and many another ruling woman of medieval times would take off your head for talking about them the way you talk about Sansa.

That is because it was meant to be about Arya getting her humanity back by being with the people she loved. A journey culminating in her giving up vengeance. But then she gave up everyone she loved forever and got on a boat never to return. So what exactly was the point?

This is ridiculous and btw we're talking about Sandra, who agreed to marry Ramsay Bolton, who put Winterfell to the torch, bastard son of the guy who killed her brother, her mother, and many Northern Lords, right?

Edmure is an incompetent loser. Everybody knows it and Sansa did him a favor by keeping him from embarrassing himself any further. It was a presented as lighthearted and comical moment during a serious discussion. I thought it was funny. Like it or not Sansa is the real deal and she commands respect, unlike her clownish uncle.

Right.

She lives out her adventurous nature. She didn't says he will "never" come back, she just states that she will leave and will not be able to visit Jon.

Arya's arc is awesome and (in the show) entirely believable and properly foreshadowed. Arya wants adventure and not sitting in any location being Lady of Whatever.

The two sisters matured and found to each other, by they are still very different in nature. Arya is not going to be simple guard or sidekick for Sansa.

Exactly this.

This is how Edmure is portrayed, like it or not. I like it.

This is simply not true and you're applying a 21st century grid on a medieval context.

Sansa commanded a certain admiration and empathy until season 8 made her an ungrateful bitch and a deadly danger to those around her.

Why can she never see Jon again? Why does she tell the Hound she doesn't intend to go back North? The writers are telling you something. If Arya never intends to go back to Winterfell how will she see Sansa again?

Huh? In truth you’re the on who’s confused here. Your hate for the Sansa character doesn’t change a plot point that is obvious to everyone else in both the book and show.

The personification of the past is clearly the best candidate to lead into the future, as per the reasons stated by Tyrion. A peasant-appointed-lord? Not so much. Especially if the reason is based on bloodline, which is the main flaw of the system being abolished.

Gendry fared well as it is.

Arya decided to discover lands west of Westeros. She is adventurous and in the position to let her dream come true. She follows her path.

"The pack survives" does imply to stivck together when times are rough, when the white winter comes. It does not mean they have to stick together in good times for no specific reason.

Arya's decision is not empahsised on "never" but on "leaving".

Dangerously close to sexist, you serious? Show where I mentioned anything remotely sexist. Show where i've said a woman shouldn't be in power. It's a fact like it or not, Sansa doesn't have a right to tell ANYONE, to sit down and shut up at a meeting to decide who the next King should be. I'd be saying the same thing if Sansa told Yara to sit down and shut up or any man there telling Edmure to sit down.

I agree, had arya decided to stay with her family and friends, it would've made sense. But since that didn't happen, it just felt like a gratuitous sex scene.

The books don't matter for the show in this regard.

The Edmure scene is fitting and Sansa does the right thing to tell him to sit with such simple words. All the other are snickering, too.

I really wish people would stop bringing differences in the books into discussion of the show. It's irrelevant.

Sansa was polite about it, and is his equal as she is Lady of Winterfell.

Don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, was Dany ever truly was Queen of Westeros? If not, technically Gendry's legitimization was, well, not legitimate.
