Do you think Jon will visit Tyrion, Sam, Bran and Sansa in the future?

Recommended Posts

He tells Tyrion that he won’t see him again but Tyrion says he would visit him at the Wall but since Jon now goes to permanently stay with the free folk, will he visit his old friends and family again namely Sansa, Bran, Tyrion and Sam in the future years?

Beyond the wall is freezing cold and there isn’t much for Jon to do there. It’s also not like him to forget his best friends and family. He looked genuinely gutted when he said goodbye to his family. Do you think he would violate the exile and return to his family and best friends in the future or at least visit them occasionally? Or will he stay with the wildlings for the rest of his life like Frodo? Frodo was never going to go back to the shire or see San again. If he has to forever stay with the wildlings imo it’s a sad ending for him as unlike popular opinion I never really got the feeling he was as happy amongst the free folk as he was with his family

I see no reason why he wouldn't be able to go back. The "exile" was a political compromise to get Grey Worm and the Unsullied to bugger off (don't get me started...), so I doubt he'd have much of a problem getting a royal pardon or whatnot to "legally" go wherever he pleases.

But I do think he'll be happy enough with the so-called Free Folk, Jon looking miserable is just his natural state after all.

I dont think he will ever return south of the wall. If anyone traveled to the wall he would meet them I'm sure. Especially since bran could just warg into a raven to deliver a message directly to Jon wherever he is. I dont think Jon was ever happy. Maybe moments with Ygritte but that's it. So his ending has some sweet because he no longer is looked at as just a bastard and no longer has crushing responsibilities

Jon when north of the wall has things going pretty well for him.  The more south he gets the worse things go.  Excepting that whole killed in a mutiny thing.

Jon Snow (Stark?, Targaryen, whatever) - Jon of the many last names is back.  Jon, want to be Lord Commander?   Again?  So you can all stab me in the back? Nope.  I'm a ranger.  I'll be ranging.

I'm not convinced Jon left the Nights Watch to permanently stay with the free folk. My take on it is that he was escorting them to where they are settling now. If that is the case and he is staying at the Wall, then he can visit with whoever wants to make the journey up there. I doubt Bran, Tyrion, and Sam will be frequent visitors (if at all) since they are busy ruling in Kings Landing, but he could probably see Sansa. Benjen was permitted to go to Winterfell on occasion, so I'm sure Jon could do that as well. And if Arya were ever to come back from whatever is west of Westeros, she'd probably come visit him too.

If Jon has been all about honor and keeping one's word, there is no reason to think he's anything more than the newest Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. He's going out beyond the Wall to escort Tormund and his people. This makes sense on several levels because under Jon the Night's Watch will have to rely on the Wildlings for information, etc of goings on in The Haunted Forest, Fist of the First Men and so forth.

As for his a-hole relatives, no. I don't think any of them visit him. They got what they wanted and he'll die a lonely and bitter but honorable fool.

I think he left to stay with the Free Folk with his honour intact as the Nights Watch themselves do it for him. When he comes to the Nights Watch everyone looks at him with reverence and they all know he got a raw deal here and it’s unfair . He is wearing the Nights Watch uniform when he goes out on a mission assigned to him. When the door closes he looks back in surprise as if he didn’t it to close. What I think happened is the Nights Watch let him go. It was permission to go stay with the wildlings and his reward for helping save the 7 kingdoms. He catches on to this and smiles and moves on.

I only feel he got a sad ending because his sister’s farewells looked pretty final to me as if he won’t ever see them again.Everyone else got what they wanted but he lost his family and his lover. It really sucks to be a Dany and a Jon fan after the ending. Keeping him away from his family was cruel imo. Hopefully he still visits home in the future as that’s my head canon for him.

They are all awfully young. No reason to think the situation now will hold on for all their lifes. Same with possible marriages.

The show just skiped that topic to not further sweeten the end.

I don't see any reason why Jon cannot come back, but I believe the show wanted to imply he was gone forever.

I think Jon's character is meant to be a tragic one, destined to never be completely happy. Which is sad, cuz he looks so darned handsome when he smiles!

I agree that it is hard to be a Jon or Dany fan. I turn the question around about Jon seeing his family, and wonder if they will visit him. I for one do not think Sansa or Bran will ever visit Jon.  Bran and Sansa end up quite a bit alike in that they both will allow a situation to unfold if they are going to 'get something' from it.  Jon may see Arya again, maybe.

Dany fans have it much harder than Jon fans, however I do think that they were fodder for an ending.  Not because it made sense, but because some folks had to die and it wasn't going to be the Stark kids.

I think Jon would see Sansa and Bran again if he doesn’t abandon the wall. If there is a royal visit by the king of the 6 kingdoms to Winterfell Jon would just visit like Benjen did in the first episode.

They probably won’t visit him at the wall.

I don’t think the king of the 6 kingdoms will ever visit a rival queen. In any case, visiting Sansa should be easy enough. But I have my doubts as the way the shows him saying farewell to Sansa and Arya sounds very final to me. They are at tears and all. I personally don’t think it was a good ending for Jon. I don’t really think he was all that happy with the free folk apart from Ygritte and thats further reinforced by his melancholy face in the last closing shot. My boy got a a sad ending only surpassed by Dany. Disney ending for the others though. Frigging Bronne of all people got a happy ending.

I think it was an ok ending for Jon. I don't buy the idea he went with the free folk long term. I know Bran is a bot now but presidents visit other presidents and keep diplomatic relationships. I think he will visit or Tyrion will visit especially if they want to keep using the northern roads to drop off prisoners to the NW. Jon is the new Jaime he stayed in the kingsguard unable to have children or lands.

I hope Jon does stay with the Wildlings long term and finds a Wildling beauty named Val :)

If Sam gets to have a girlfriend, kids and be a man of the NW and grand maester. Jon can have Val, be lord commander and king beyond the wall.
