Winterfell is Burning
To top all his other problems, Neymar got injured yesterday in the friendly game against Qatar- which, yes, is playing the Copa AMÉRICA for some reason- and is out of the tournament. Consigliere
Another brain fart by an English player. Shambolic. Netherlands have been by far the better side in extra time.

Philokles
Stones and Maguire were a liability all night with their passing at the back. A good amount of that will be down to being thrown cold into a semi final after three weeks with no games, but there is no denying I would be a lot happier with Gomez in place of one of the two. Still, there were plenty of positives before the extra time implosion, Chilwell has nailed down that left back role, Pickford had possibly his best game of the season and we probably just about shaded the 90 mins with one or at most two of the starters in the core 5 CBs and midfielders. This 3rd place playoff will surely be the most pointless game in footballing history. Let them go on holiday.

Rorschach - 2
I give up. Norway are simply not worth watching atm. Not good enough in attack - we should have scored more than two. And certainly not good enough at the back, when we let Romania score twice at the end. The defending for both goals is simply shambolic - Roberto Martinez would be embarrased. Probably a good thing that the Women's WC is starting - Norway will probably do better there. Heck by qualifying they are head and shoulders above the men already. AncalagonTheBlack
Wow, i knew the CL money was good, but this is on another level. Amazing how far we've come since those terrible days of Hicks & Gillett! Quote Champions League victory to push Liverpool broadcast income to £250m.Estimates say overall revenue is edging closer to rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona Liverpool’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur to take the Champions League title on Saturday will let the club make another claim: it’ll become the first global soccer team to bring in more than £250 million (€280 million) in a season from broadcast income. The estimate, according to analyst Swiss Ramble, means the English club’s overall revenue is edging closer to its Spanish rivals, Real Madrid and Barcelona, as well as Manchester United – the biggest sales generators among European soccer teams. Swiss Ramble, an anonymous blogger who keeps a forensic score of soccer clubs’ finances, tweeted a breakdown of club revenue on Monday, updating figures after Liverpool’s 2-0 win. The data show broadcast income of £251 million (€282.7 million) in the 2018-2019 season for Liverpool, with Tottenham at £235.2 million (€264.9 million) and Manchester City and Manchester United following behind. Uefa, the regulatory body for the top soccer competitions in Europe, won’t release the final figures for a few weeks. A spokesman for Liverpool declined to comment. polishgenius
Who looks worse- our footballing side for not being able to compete at the top despite still being the richest by a stretch, or everyone else's finance people for not being able to keep up with Ed fucking Woodward despite our footballing side being investor-scaringly shite and dreary and failing to consistently qualify for the CL for seven years now? Philokles
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48568007 Tragic news. He came across as a genuine, down to earth guy when I came across him when he was managing us, and judging from the reaction of so many of his former players he made a real impact in their careers and lives as a whole. RIP Justin.

Our footballing side by a long fucking way. It's disgraceful to have spent this much money and still be nowhere near being a competitive side. Real Madrid are the wealthiest club btw, according to the last Deloitte money league report followed by Barcelona. Bayern aren't far behind us and the likes of City and PSG are rapidly catching up. Liverpool and Spurs are going to have much better revenues when the 2020 report comes out as well so other clubs finance people are doing just fine. Corvinus85
Well whatever can be still criticized about England's men's team, at least it won't include their ability to win at penalties. If even Pickford can score...
Consigliere
Pretty comfortable win for Portugal. Easily the better side. Netherlands had plenty of possession but did nothing with it and Portugal created more and better chances. The Dutch forwards never looked like causing the Portuguese defence much trouble. Corvinus85
The Dutch definitely need someone like Van Persie or Van Nisterlooy and someone like Robben in the attack.
