Gerg Sknab
Are there any threads discussing the Cast In series by Michelle Sagara?
Inkdaub
I am a big Michelle West fan but I haven't read all the Cast books yet. I do like them. I'd say I've read six or seven of them with plans to continue at a reasonably slow pace. Essalieyan is where my heart is, though.
Seli
No idea. Just tore through the second omnibus, read the first one some years ago. It is lovely no-stakes adventure worldbuilding fantasy so far for me.
Deedles
If I remember correctly @antsis a Michelle Sagara fan. I’ve read most of Cast but the last few fell somewhat flat for me
ants
Yep. Read them all religiously and have reread them all multiple times. Love all of her writing in fact (sundered series is good but not great). They cast series aren’t too deep, and a LOT of deus ex machina occurs (in fact they’re arguably built around it). But her characters are great, her world building is amazing, and I love her dialogue. Its also nice to rotate between the behemoths that are the Sun Sword world and Estarra’s much lighter touch!

Deedles
Mmm. Toasty warm. I loved the first 8 or so. It all just gotta little metaphysical with no obvious payoff then. I liked but not not loved
