Was Jons True Identity Exposed To Westeros?

Recommended Posts

So we know that from the living that Sansa, Tyrion, Bran, Arya, Sam and Gilly know Jons true identity. We also know Varys sent some Raven but whether they actually reached anyone is unknown but this is a pretty big factor.

Jon isn't an unknown they can just send to the wall and be forgotten. Hes a war hero of multiple battles. Hes known and loved across the North for ridding the Boultons, he also saved the North in the battle of castle Black and of course saved the entire realm in the battle of Winterfell against the dead. Now if people know he is Aegon Targaryan, the true heir to the throne then surely that confuses things, a few lords can have their say but what about the people they rule, plus the lords never get on and a few of them wont be happy with what they have got now.

They completely rubbished this story at the end but its something that has a huge effect on everything and its left inconclusive.

I agree that this is an issue that was left open by the show. The end was much too rushed and thus in many aspects unsatisfying.

I think if Jon's identity as a Targaryan was know, there would not have been an agreement for him to be punished for what happened with Daenerys.

Actually, if anything he'd be punished more severely.

If Jon's identity was known and he still murdered Daenerys, then Jon would be a kinslayer.

The massive stigma of kinslaying is yet another thing that got minimized and forgotten by the idiots we had the misfortune of calling showrunners.

Well, Jesus cured ten men suffering from leprosy and only one came back to thank him. People are ungrateful, and once the threats are gone, they don't care and focus on their own affairs.

Sansa has her crown and her actual brother is on the throne. Bran is King and Tyrion has a good thing going (he used him), so no complaints. Gilly probably doesn't care and Sam is Grand Maester (so why rock the boat). Arya's too busy off exploring to care. And Varys messages, if a few were indeed sent out, were probably dismissed by war weary lords who just can't be bothered to gamble on one scribbled scroll.

So there you have it.

Dumb and Dumber don't care about such things.

Would there be explosions?  Dragon fires?  Tits?

Nope?

Then, we don't care...

Remember when Littlefinger found Arya at Harrenhall?
