The end of MAD Magazine?

I heard about this last night and I just about cried. Not that I still read it but that is was so much of my childhood and teenage years. I am sure that it made me into the irreverent nose tweaker that I am today and some one who still does not have much respect for authority.

I suppose that it really is hard to compete with reality and the completely moronic buffoon leading the US.

Yeah, I was sad to hear about it too.  Spy vs. Spy, The Lighter Side of . . . , the current blockbuster movie spoof, the iconic Alfred E. Neuman himself - all brought to us by "The Usual Gang of Idiots," I haven't read one in years and I heard the quality went down, but it still holds a place in my heart - or somewhere.  :P

Edit:  To follow up on Maarsen's comment above, it **is** hard to compete with or even make fun of the madness in the USA currently.  It's too serious to laugh about, and I never thought I'd say that.
