Workable Canadianism

So many of the problems in the US could be solved or eased by just looking north and imitating Canadian ways. Health care? Yes, Canada's system might help out a lot. Regional representation? Doable also.

Education? Most certainly.

It's all nice and dandy, until we get to the crticial point, which is Bryan Adams.

Canada has produced one Bryan Adams, the USA is ten times the size of Canada. So there is the risk of them producing ten Bryan Adams.

And you still haven't apologized for Nickelback, eh? I mean WTF are you trying to unleash onto the world, eh?

I'm really bad at music, so take it easy on me, but what is it that people hate so much about Nickleback. I think they have that one song? The Rockstar one? It's not the worst thing I've ever heard. Mildly catchy, even, I'll say it.

I’m not sure the US wants to go toe to toe comparing celebrity exports with other countries..

Yeah but Canada's population is approx ten times smaller than US. Big population countries tend to have more inequality and social problems. For example, the top ten most populous countries (of which US ranks third) includes Brazil, Indonesia, India, Mexico and Bangladesh etc. and they all have poverty and inequality and less impressive public services.

Since when does correlation imply causation?

Woah, there, sweetie! The USA is the world’s richest nation, hands down You don’t get to fluff off societal ills by comparing yourself to impoverished third world nations that have been ruled by despotic kings for a thousand years before their latest iterations, or governed by colonial rulers.

Feel it does in this case.

Roman Republic was more egalitarian when it was modest than when the conquests started to roll in. The Gracchi brothers tried to reverse it with a strong popular movement but failed. Being richest nation does not mean it will be shared equally, it just means if you make it to the top, you've really made it.

So I guess the next thrad will be about workable Jaceism. And I think you meant to say she should wash her ears with Maple Syrup.

Anyway, more to the further list of Canadian grievances.

You unleashed Pamela Anderson onto the world. She is a living indictment of the Canadian education system, even if she is only from BC, that is still better than Alberta.

Then in real Canada, Ontario (I hope nobody from Quebec read this), you have your own silly little form Trumpism, Fordism. Which is every bit as cringeworthy, and which should've died alongside its crack-cocaine founder Rob, but still lives on in his equally buffoonish brother Doug. I mean Douglas Ford, that sounds like shitty car for starters, so not even like a failed Casino.

At this rate, the next Canadian PM will probably be Don Cherry - another Canadian insult. And yes, a cherry is a fruit.

I did legit consider making such a thread, but alas, I decided against it. The forum simply isn’t ready for that.
