Perhaps.

Hard to say, because too many players aren't really turned on so far. Gomes misses touches, Richarlison is just struggling, DCL can't get things right..

Iwobi for Richarlison and Kean for DCL is a possibility, but maybe they are too unfamiliar with the team for both to be playing togheter? Dunno.

Then you've gotta put on Walcott with Iwobi haha.

Everton threw away three points there. Had Villa on the ropes but fluffed a few very good chances at 1-0. Iwobi did look lively and caused problems for Villa's defence. Gomes had a poor game and Yerry Mina doesn't look to be a good defender. Wesley was excellent for Villa - had Keane on toast.

That's a shocker for Everton.  I'm not sure how Schneiderlin and DCL earned starting spots tonight but even so the play shown by Digne, Bernard, Siggurdson and Gomes in the last couple of games should have been plenty to create a goal or two tonight, especially against the right side of Villa's defense.  But they've only scored one goal now in three PL games, despite having more chances than their opponents in each game and heavily dominating possession in two of those.  Richarlison is a bit off form, but you'd expect him to come back strongly.  (Is he tired after the Copa?)  And Kean isn't trusted yet.  They should be doing better than this.  One point from two games against Palace and Villa, who both look in disarray atm, is a let down even if those games were away from home.

Rudiger not back yet and no Kante in the Chelsea squad either. That's a big boost for Norwich and they should be able to create a lot more scoring opportunities without Kante there to run the midfield.

ETA. Pedro has picked up a knock during the warm up. Barkley comes in for him.

No way palace hold on, right?

They might, we're dominating play but not exactly threatening.

We probably need to get Pogba pushed up further for this one, and/or bring on Greenwood who is a better dribbler and therefore more likely to do well in tight spaces than Daniel James.

Why do United let Rashford waste so many freekicks? That must be really annoying to watch.

New game, same shit. I guess he take them well at training ? I can recall Mourinho talking about Rashford scoring screamers at training...

Everyone in this team have been shit so far anyway, bar AWB and James.

Poor performance. For the second game running, we dominate possession but hardly create much and miss a penalty. This game would have brought those overly optimistic United fans back down to earth. I still maintain that this squad is only good enough for a 6th place finish at best. Our midfield and forward line is worse than last season and lacks depth as well. You look at our bench today and there was not a single player on there who you'd honestly say could have come on and made a difference.

Was reading the BBC live feed during the game and apparently Waddle just would not stop banging on about bringing Mata on. Like fuck was he gonna do anything and he didn't.

I appreciate the youth tradition but they've really leaned too far that way. Daniel James, good as his goal was and he looks promising, is not consistently creative yet. We're nearly at the stage where we almost need to start first-teaming Angel Gomes to add a bit of class, and that's just bad planning.

Just two seasons ago United were incredibly, impossibly efficient: they’d have little possession, play crap, concede a ton of shots, struggle to create anything, but still win 1-0.  And they sustained that efficiency for the full season.

Now they’ve done a full reverse: loads of possession, lots of shots on goal, but concede softly to one of the very few chances the opponent musters.

Their play is improved from the Mourinho dross, but they’re starting to look like a late-Wenger Arsenal in terms of variability from highs to lows and lack of composure to close out games.

It has been one way traffic so far. The only decent opportunity Arsenal have had came from Adrian's brainfart. Also think that Emery is playing with fire with his tactics. He's set up the side to be very narrow which has afforded Robertson and especially TAA acres of space out wide and we all know that Liverpool's fullbacks provide a fair bit more creativity than their midfield. The narrow set up isn't really helping Arsenal in midfield either as Liverpool are winning nearly all of the second balls.
