If this thing gains traction, I think it could end up being a very influential story, especially in an upcoming election year.

I'm all for Falwell's kid and his stupid school getting embroiled in a scandal, but I don't think it'd have much electoral impact.  Evangelicals are pretty much trained in cognitive dissonance.

I traded that shit for a dime bag and two Blockbuster Video rental coupons back in '98. Send the bill to Johnny Tran.

Key question, were those coupins good for late 80’s/early 90’s wrestling videos? My Blockbuster always up charged those suckers, so my stepbrother and I had to clandestinely sneak them into the stack our parents would get on Fridays.

Also, I always wanted that dude’s car growing up. There’s no way they stuffed $100,000 into that s2000 though. They could have made it a bit more realistic and gave him a NSX or a Skyline, though for my money I’d want a Syclone to shock people. I’ve seen videos of those things dusting Ferraris and Lambos nearly as badly as I dusted @aceluby in C League.

You didn't play me, so might want to pump the brakes there...

YET ANOTHER UPDATE:  Announced by rapistbedbuginchief -- he's fired Bolton!  Can we go back to Cuba now. Thanx.

UPDATE:  Rapistbedbuginchief announces the polls that show unfavorable numbers as to him and his handling of everything from the economy to guns are 'fixed' and 'phoney.'  He's the greatest and the best and the entire frackin' world LUUUUUUUUUUUURVES him and him alone!

Stray thought: how much he must be squirming and itching over Valerie Plame's entrance video.  He can't do that.  Also, bushywah, and his mission accomplished -- he looked so fake and she looked so real.  Of course, he was lying.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just the existence of 'Liberty University' is a scandal, in my not at all humble opinion.  And in any case, no matter what, these guys, like Swaggert, always come back because they weep over their sins and ask for forgiveness and proclaim the greatness of the Almighty, because the Almighty in HIS Almighty Wisdom and Compassion, has forgiven. And it all starts over again.
As for the bedbug rapist in chief, can't WAIT to have Valerie Plame + The Squad go all fast and furious on him.  Just try stalking them -- or Elizabeth Warren -- around the stage.
But he's not leaving, no matter what happens.  So everyone has to think of what they are going to do, what the Plan is, for after 2020 and he's lost the election and keeps howling at his base to keep their Beloved Leader in control.  Because if he's not put away in a maximum security facility for the criminally insane, he will spend the rest of his life either in prison or courtrooms -- he may be insane but he KNOWS this. Burn it all down first, and his acolytes are the same.  Hell, they WANT to burn it down.  Chaos is a ladder!
Treatin' the base like Monday, not "Treat Me Like a Saturday Night" (thanks to Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Joe Ely)
Trump’s hate on full display
Trump jetted to North Carolina on Monday to salvage a special House election for Republicans in a district that he carried in 2016 by 11 points. Even a tight Republican victory will suggest that Trump could remain a major liability for the GOP heading into 2020; as one elections expert puts it, this race wouldn’t be at all close if it weren’t for him.
And yet, at his rally, Trump cranked up the hate-mongering to 11. He goaded his audience into venting angry abuse at reporters covering the event. He smeared undocumented immigrants as “hardened, horrible criminals.” He claimed that Democrats are releasing rapists into communities. He railed that the election is a referendum on the socialist and “America-hating left.”
Oh, the drama. John Bolton out as NSA via tweet, Trump saying he asked for the resignation because he disagreed with Bolton on too much. Bolton then corrects the record, also via Tweet, noting he offered to resign on his own last night, only for Trump to say they'll talk about it... no surprise here, the "You're fired!" idiot can't actually fire anyone to their face.
Fun isn't something one considers when watching democracy collapse. But this... does put a smile on my face.
I also feel a little bit safer with that war-monger out.  Trump is bad enough on his own.  But I don't think he actually wants a real war any where (although I'm willing to bet he'd bomb someone).
Well, at least Bolton lasted a couple weeks longer as NSA than he did as an unconfirmed recess appointed UN Ambassador during Dubya's administration.  I agree with Maith that even with Trump's totally volatility, the world is a safer place without Bolton having any say-so in US foreign policy decisions.
I’ve been following the Bolton story for a while, and the writing was on the wall when Bolton didn’t go with Trump to Korea to meet Kim. Exiling him to Mongolia on that trip was particularly, deliciously, nasty. I wonder if Miller thought that one up, it seems to suit his malicious character.
While I too am happy to see him gone, I don’t doubt Bolton was a restraining influence on Trump in his dealings with both North Korea and the Taliban. Trump so palpably wants a Nobel Prize I would not be surprised if he gave away the store to get a deal. He’s already given the North Koreans so much without getting a helluva a lot in return.
He keeps saying this about extending his term . He’s not joking. He’s a straight up fascist dictator.
Every Dem candidate needs to tell us what their plan is for him not leaving when losing in 2020.
Though I -- and others I know -- have believed the writing was on the temple walls long ago that he wasn't expecting to ever leave -- again, accused of tinfoil hats, and not only here -- but I'm not at all happy that more people, rather than less, have arrived at this unmistakable conclusion that he is determined to stay for life.
The truth of the matter is Democratic turnout, particularly in midterms, is so bad that with the giant surge the Democrats managed to put together, what they were able to do is come close to matching Republican turnout. Which is good,  that's a major victory. But in many districts, especially where the candidates were focusing on being moderate, the Democratic turnout still underperformed its potential, and still underperformed turnout among Republicans, according to this analysis that I'll be releasing after Labor Day.
But the turnout surge among independents — new independents, not ones who voted in 2014 — was so large combined with that turnout surge of Democrats to flip the district. If Republicans had also voted for Democrats, then these margins by which Democrats won would be much larger.
Quote
Above all, the mistaken belief that Democrats won in 2018 by gaining Republican support (aka winning back "Trump voters") fuels an illusory search for an ill-defined middle ground that could actually demobilize the Democratic leaners and voters who actually drove last year's blue wave.
Trump is going after the homeless and putting them in concentration camps as well. We’re fine.
In don't want to seem ageist or wish someone dead, but do you think Bolton will be too old or dead by the time the next Republican President gets to appoint a National Security Adviser? I thought he'd be too old this time around, but I was obviously wrong.
The old adage about lobster not noticing the boiling if you do it slow enough seems to apply.
It's worth keeping in mind that Trump is constantly probing to see what he can get away with, and when he finds a new area, he nudges it a bit.
I think the more important question is after he dies and is decomposing, will his mustache survive?
