Daendrew
Behold! The Holy Grail of ASOIAF collecting that I just won in an auction. https://imgur.com/gallery/fDY1egJ The UK Uncorrected Proof (Advance Reading Copy) of A Game of Thrones. There are only 50 copies or less known to have been printed. Almost all the uncorrected proofs have been read and look worn. This one was never opened or read and put in a box until sold just now. The seller owned a chain of small bookshops in London. He got the uncorrected proof, looked at the cover and thought this would never sell. He never read it and never bought a copy of AGOT for his stores. He just found it in a box of his things. Next step is getting GRRM to sign it. The_Antiquarian
Congratulations!!!That would be considered as near-fine. That's something to pass on for generations!
Patty113
I suspect there are more than 50 copies... I saw someone say that on eBay a while back, but I have seen way more than that be sold over the years...And a good number are owned by people on this board... Still, a very nice item! becca69
I agree with Pat about number of copies. On that note, you got a nice copy. I have one good condition but only paid around $70 for it a few years ago.

becca69
I found it on Ebay UK and contacted the seller. I made an offer and he accepted.
