They cannot run the ball because opponents can commit every last defender to blocking the run because they know Trubiskey won’t make any throws. And it has been obvious all season that Trubiskey won’t make the grade. Bears need to start planning for a new QB but Dolphins have a big head start on tanking, even if they did win today. Perhaps they should chase one the back-up QBs that’s doing so well; just not Minschew. Seattle won a chaotic game in OT after a big comeback. Why does that sound familiar? Wilson looks Rodgers-esque at the moment, but the kicker was pants (and ruined an otherwise comfortable win) and the defense was surprisingly shaky — albeit with injuries. Pivotal game next week against the 49ers, but the Seahawks should have a strong shot at a wildcard spot even if they lose to SF. They are iirc 2nd right now for lastly pick but a half game behind (or ahead) the jets with the tie breaker. Have a game left against the Jets Bengals and giants. Plus 5 other games. Probably 3.5 expected wins and the 3rd to 5th pick overall. Except that Flores seems to be coaching them up. So the Giants and Falcolns are also closing in on #1 draft pick.
