Like child abuse it has to stop.” Can anyone explain to me what makes this statement anti-semitic? To begin with, the oldest and nastiest forms of anti-Semitism are the blood libels, which are baseless allegations of, well, child abuse. So at the very minimum, this can be seen as a highly unfortunate allusion and at worst a deliberate dog-whistle. It would certainly have been read as the latter by some. The same blog post alleged that accusations of anti-Semitism against Corbyn were 'orchestrated by the wealthy establishment', again a common dog-whistle phrase for anti-Semites. Twice in one article begins to look, at best, careless, naive and crass. It's certainly not OK.
