That would depend on the size of the sellsword army. Say Viserys lands with enough sellswords to defeat Robert. Absolutely the Tyrells would support him. The Reach, Dorne, Balon Greyjoy, and many others. As a matter of fact, if Viserys had arrived with an overwhelming force, the Lannistes and the Baratheons would find themselves peeing their pants because they will be alone. Yeah, because the Vale, the Riverlands and the North would let them on their own and where's Viserys finding this super army??
Shi Qiang
Just now, frenin said: Yeah, because the Vale, the Riverlands and the North would let them on his own and where's Viserys finding this super army?? The question, as presented, says Viserys will land with a sellsword army. Now, obviously, if he arrives with 50 sellswords, his campaign will end at the beach. But say he arrives with 100K sellswords. It's game over for the Baratheons, Lannisters, and Starks. The realm do not hate the Targaryens.

If Viserys landed with dragons it'd be even better but he ain't getting them. The Lannisters, Starks, Tully, Arryn, Baratheon still pretty much overpower nearly every combination you want to put?? Part of the Realm hate the Targs, that's why they were deposed, some loved them but the majority simply don't care about them.

It is obvious to me that you are trying to change the question. The question already created a scenario in which Viserys already has sellswords. And I call bull$h!t on your claim that the Lannisters, Starks, will overpower any combination. That is just plain silly to say. Absurd. If that offends you, well, then you're offended. The question, as posted, did not place a limit on the size of the mercenary army. Essos is a much bigger landmass and there will be no shortage of able-bodied fighting men. The question implied a "what if" scenario. Had the question said, "Will the reach support Viserys if he had landed with 5K sellswords?" the answer will be different. I can get to say that if Viserys raise an army of the death no one would oppose him, that don't make it likely or possible. It's still a what if scenario, so no one has to point out the unlikeliness You only have to count the manpower of those five kingdoms combined, unless ofc Viserys lands with a 300k army, that's just umbeatable and you would be right. Have you ever heard about 100k sellswords??
The Young Maester
If Viserys offers to marry Margaery, its quite possible that the entire reach might join him. But Id see a couple reach houses siding with the baratheons. Some would be doubtful of being able to overthrow Robert and his power block of 5 great houses. Whilst others would get ambitious and would seek rewards by helping Robert put down the so called rebels. Were viserys to be already wed or is seeking for another marriage. Its likely that Mace and those loyal to him would side with whoever is most likely to win.

The houses will side with the most powerful contender. The Tyrells will support the larger army because they don't want to lose. Viserys will need a force larger than the Golden Company. He will have the sellsword companies currently working in the Battle of Fire because that war would not happen if Viserys could choose to take them westwards. So the short answer is yes. Viserys is not going to cross the waters with a force of 5000. He knows better. He will equal or exceed the forces that can be put on the ground by his enemies. Viserys, 50 thousands sellswords, Highgarden and its allies, Dorne, and the Greyjoys versus the Baratheons, Tullys, Lannisters, and Starks. I would cheer for a Viserys victory.
