NickGOT456
I heard one person say they know a lot of people who refuse to read fantasy books or watch fantasy shows because they're not 'real.' They also said a lot of these people think sci fi is boring. Why are people not open minded? I thought Battlestar Galactica would be boring judging by online opinion but I decided to check it out and so far I think season one is a thrill ride! Has society killed off imagination and intellect?
polishgenius
What online opinion were you reading that made you think BSG was gonna be boring?
Zorral
Turn the question around to find your answer .... Why are there so many sf/f readers unwilling to read or watch anything that isn't sf/f? I even hear them saying they don't wan't anything 'real' because they world is too full of real already. I hear them say they don't want adult material because they don't believe in growing up. Of course, we are now at the point where ever so-called reality is fantasy and phony and made-up, thanks to science deniers, anti-vaxers, all the president's men and women, the media and entertainment. mcbigski
Why aren't more people furries? It's like they said in BSG "People want what they want".
