Are they already living in stupidtown. Iran drives terrorism. This guy was driving Iran. I don't know him, never asked if he was alive or employed during 9/11. Don't know. But one can surmise he's calling the shots or okaying the actions that foment terrorism, since that's Iran's bag. They hit us and have been "escalating" and aggitating forever and a day but the press don't care because trump wasn't involved yet. Now he is so we're hearing about escalation. Hundreds of us have been getting maimed for years but this move is disproportionate. Stupid people are brainwashing you and that's why you are what you are. I think the identity and electability aspects you mention are explain a lot of it, but in addition there's also simply the role of familiarity/name ID. Most people know Biden and Sanders, and the Democratic electorate is likely to be comfortable with either.
