Alyn Oakenfist
So we know that before the Dance the Targaryen way of disposing of dead Targs was incineration by dragonfire? What did they do after the dragons were gone. Did they bury their dead or did they still incinerate them? I don't think someone such as Baelor for example would have wanted to be burned instead of buried in the tradition of the Seven.
The Lord of the Crossing
They were cremated. Given to the fire, so to speak. The Targaryens burn their dead. The Stark dead are given to ice, as in frozen. The Tullys are given to the river.
Megorova
The Hedge Knight, 209 AC: "Baelor of House Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone, Hand of the King, Protector of the Realm, and heir apparent to the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, went to the fire in the yard of Ashford Castle on the north bank of River Cockleswent. Other great houses might choose to bury their dead in the dark earth or sink them in the cold green sea, but the Targaryens were the blood of the dragon, and their ends were writ in flame."
