The Young Maester Posted March 29, 2020 Share Posted March 29, 2020 If I was Tywin (I imagine he negotiated the betrothal) id go for the lady Frey whos closest to the succession so that once old Walder dies, close ties remain with Daven. It would have to be someone from Ser Stevrons line. And the only suitable lady from Stevrons line is Fair Walda. So Id imagine it would be fair Walda. He could have given any of his girls to Edmure but he picks one of his best looking. It makes you wonder how badly Robb screwed up. Walder would have done him right with a lovely bride.
