Dustin Diamond, Screech from Saved by the Bell, has died at 44. It had been report a couple of weeks ago that he had been rushed to the hospital, and then it was revealed he had stage 4 cancer. RIP

Liking the post, not the event. I'm a huge Saved by the Bell fan. RIP Dustin.

Hal Holbrook, best known for his one-man stage play in which he performed as Mark Twain (he did it for some 65 years!), has passed away at the age of 95.  Too many roles over his long career, mostly supporting stuff, but he was Deep Throat in All The President's Men, which -- next to Twain -- may be his most significant role in terms of popular culture.

RIP to Christopher Plummer.

He was a star when my parents were kids, and was still a star now. What an amazing career he had, I can't even begin to pick a favorite role.

91 years of age. What a life lived, and what a career. Very randomly, a discussion elsewhere about notable Klingons made me think of his General Chang in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

So sad over the passing of Christopher Plummer.  The very first movie I saw in the movie theater when I was a child was The Sound of Music.  I was mesmerized.  Once they started airing it on tv every Christmas, I never missed a year...although this year I was devastated to realize he was dubbed over for all the signing in the movie!  Up until then my favorite was always him signing Edelweiss.  I'm sure he must have gotten tired of forever being associated with Captain Von Trapp but he never let it show and was a professional at everything related to it.

He played so many other memorable roles but perhaps the second for me was I was fortunate to see him perform on stage in Othello alongside James Earl Jones.  What a combination and what a memory!  [As trivia, the actress who played Desdemona was Karen Dotrice who had played the daughter in the Mary Poppins movie (alongside Julie Andrews).]

RIP to the man who taught all post war generations, the proper way to handle N*zi flags.

Yeah, RIP Larry.

Not exactly hero material, but not a villain either.

He's made his forutne with pronography. Pretty sure one boarder or another could write a paragraph or two on the exploitation of women and the female body, and the objectification of women. Flynt probably wouldn't deny that he made his fortune on the objectification of women (a smut peddler who cares as he once put it himself). On the other hand, he was also one of the more prolific free speech activists, who supported LGBTQ rights. In a way, he incorporated the left's dilemma when talking about the sex industry in general.

Yeah, I'll give an RIP to Larry Flynt. He supported some good causes, and he never seemed like a monster like some guys in the porn industry.

My two favorite facts about Flynt are: 1) He made sure that every US Senator (and I think Representative) had a free subscription to Hustler; and sent a copy each month to their offices. and 2) He was once arrested by the Supreme Court. I I didn't know this story until today.

Wasn't sure where to post this, I see you chose the more morbid route. Like the duo themselves with the video. ;)

I've never listened to their entire discography, but I really liked their Tron Legacy soundtrack, and just about every other song I did hear.
