So I was curious what are the various sides people on this forum support in the history of Westeros. I'll put the results on the right of each one as they get updated, also now that more people voted I''m gonna put my own opinions here too:

  1. The Conquest: Aegon or the Kings? 12 - 10
  2. The Dornish War: The Iron Throne or Dorne? 6 - 17
  3. Maegor or Aenys? 4 - 15
  4. The Faith militant uprising: Targs or the Faith? 17 - 6
  5. The Council of 101: Rhaenys, Laenor or Viserys? 19 - 2 - 2
  6. The Dance: Greens or Blacks? 5 - 17
  7. The Second Dornish War: Daeron or the Martells? 7 - 13
  8. The Blackfyre Rebellion: Blackfyre or Targaryen? 3 - 19
  9. Roberts Rebellion: Loyalists or rebels? 7 - 16
  10. War of the Five Kings: Stannis, Robb, Balon, Joffrey or Renly? 7 - 10 - 0 - 1 - 3
  11. Mance's attack: Wildlings or NW? 9 - 13
  12. War in the North, Stannis or Roose? 19 - 3
  13. Slaver's Bay campaign: Dany or the Slavers? 21 - 1 (okay this is kinda pointless, but still LE we found one!!!)
  14. Kingsmoot: Asha, Victarion, Euron or Farwynd? 17 - 3 - 2 - 2
  15. The final kings: Stannis, Aegon, Jon, Dany, Tommen or Euron? 3 - 4 - 2 - 9 - 1 - 0

Ditto, except for #4. I know, Maegor is horrible, bu I’ll take him over religious zealots.

1) Aegon, mainly because of Harren
2) Dorne
3) Don't you mean Aegon?
4) The Faith (purely because of Maegor, not because I approve of armed religion. If Maegor had done what he did to the Faith, but not what he did to Viserys, Aegon, his wives etc. I might have answered differently)
5) Rhaenys
6) The Blacks
7) I want to say Dorne, but then how they chose to end it really sours my sympathy. So imma abstain from that one
8) Targaryen
9) Rebels
10) Robb
11) Mance
12) Stannis
13) Dany (And I'll bet you get some trolls voting for the slavers)
14) Asha
15) Jon (Tommen's a nice kid but he'd be another Aenys/Aerys I, Euron....just no, not sure how far along the madness Dany and Aegon are gonna fall and Stannis would be okay if he could assimilate the different religions into one society but that seems unlikely. The Red God's followers seem a touch too...fanatical for that to work)

Haven't read Fire and Blood or The World of Ice and Fire yet, so I've avoided the Targ questions:)

1-the Kings

2- Dorne

3- Aenys

4-Maegor

5-Laenor

6-Don't really like any here, but if is about legitimacy I think the Greens have a stronger case.

7-Dorne

8-Blackfyres in the first, Targs from second onwards

9- Rebels

10- Robb

11- Kind of both I guess, Mance was doing the right thing with the wrong aproach.

12- Stannis

13-Dany

14- Gylbert Farwynd, Euron is crazy, Victarion was too dumb, and Asha's proposal was awful

15- Jon

1. The kings as Aegon was an invader
2. Dorne, as the Targaryens were invaders
3. Aenys was less bad (but he had no right to rule either)
4. Neither, as neither royals nor religious zealots have a right to rule
5. Neither, as they were all just a bunch of nobles who had no right to rule
6. Neither, as they were all just a bunch of nobles who had no right to rule
7. Dorne, as the Targaryens were invaders
8. Neither, as they were all just a bunch of nobles who had no right to rule
9. Rebels, as Robert and Ned had been sentenced to death for no reason, and they have the right to self defense (but Robert should have abolished the Iron Throne rather than made himself king)
10. Robb, but he should never have gone south of the Neck
11. The wildlings, as the Night's Watch actions are based on bigotry
12. Stannis is less bad, but he has no right to rule either
13. Dany
14. Asha was the least bad
15. None of them, as they are all just a bunch of nobles who have no right to rule (but Euron is worse than the others)

  1. Aegon (not that he had a legitimate claim before the Conquest, but dragons are cool...)
  2. Dorne
  3. Aenys
  4. Targaryens ( I hate Maegor but I also hate religious extremism)
  5. Rhaenys, the Queen Who Never Was
  6. The Blacks
  7. The Martells
  8. Targaryen
  9. Rebels
  10. Robb
  11. Wildlings (hardest one to answer)
  12. Stannis
  13. Dany
  14. Asha (though I wish Victarion had accepted the deal where Asha would be his Hand)
  15. Dany

1.  Aegon must have read Daenys Targaryen's prophecies.  Westeros needed to unite to fight the Others.  Aegon.

2.  Iron Throne.  See my answer to #1.

3.  Maegor, because he had a big set of balls to take on the faith.

4.  Targaryen.  See my answer to #1.

5.  Rhaenys.  Gender should not matter.

6.  Blacks by a narrow margin.  Rhaenyra's kids are suspect.

7.  Daeron  See my answer to #1

8.  Targaryen.  Aegon 4 was stupid to unbastardize his bastards.

9.  Loyalists.  I can see why some people will be pissed at Aerys but they have no right to take away the throne from Viserys.

10. Stannis.  This is a tough one.  Being unpopular does not make him unqualified to lead.  Westeros could use some really tough love.

11. NW. Mance and his people can't have freedom and still enjoy the fruits of a kingdom.

12. Stannis is an ass but he is willing to defend the kingdom.  Roose would too but he doesn't know about the White walkers.

13. Dany.  Slavery is a crime against humanity.  She who has power has great responsibility.

14. Asha.  She wants to give the iron born peace.

15. Dany. She will have had valuable experience when the time comes.

1. Aegon, fuck the Kings.

2. The Martells, fuck the Targs.

3. Aenys.

4. Maegor*, I will support Aerys if his foe was a buch of religious zealots... But then again he fought because he wanted to impose polygamy and incest because he was an asshole too.

5. Rhaenys. Pd: Jaeharys is an asshole.

6. Blacks. Jace is my waifu.

7. I want to say the Dornish badly but how they betrayed Daeron really soured me against them, so I'm not picking a side here.

8. The Reds, Daemon was awesome tho.

9. Rebels, that's not even a question.

10. Renly, if he doesn't kill Robb, if it comes between Renly and Robb, Robb.

11. The Watch.

12. Dany, that's not even a question.

13. Asha.

15. Stannis.

1. The Kings. Harren may have gotten what he had coming, but all the servants who cooked with him didn't.
2. Dorne. Their tactics may be ghoulish, but so were those of the Apache.
3. Aenys.
4. Faith.
5. Rhaenys.
6. B-b-b-blacks baby.
7. No opinion.
8. Targs.
9. Rebels.
10. Stannis, though I'm also very sympathetic to Robb.
11. Wildlings.
12. Stannis.
13. Dany.
14. Asha. My girl was straight up doing open mic and killing it.
15. No opinion.

For me it'd be the Kings, Dorne, Aenys, the Faith, Rhaenys, the Blacks, the Martells, Targaryen, Rebels, Robb, NW, Stannis, Dany, Asha, Dany.

As a general rule, I'll always side with the ones that are attacked. All the arguments supporting the aggressors sound as sad excuses to me.

In many cases, though, I wouldn't really support any of the sides because even if one's marginally better than the other, both committed actions that I could never get behind.

1. Conquest - The Kings

2. Dornish War - Dorne. I am not really a fan of aggressive Targ expansion.

3. Aenys

4. Faith Militant Uprising - Targaryens

5. Great Council - Rhaenys

6. The Dance - The Greens. I think the Great Council set a precedent of who can take the Throne.

7. Second Dornish War - Martells

8. The Blackfyre Rebellion - Targaryens

9. Robert’s Rebellion - Rebels. Aerys needed to be stopped.

10. War of Five Kings - Stannis. It is my opinion he has the best claim.

11. Mance’s Attack - Night’s Watch

12. War in the North - Stannis

13. Slavers’ Bay - Dany

14. Kingsmoot - Victarion. IMO “No godless man may sit the Seastone Chair”.

15. Final Kings - Stannis

This is interesting why do you support them??

I don't know about him, but I too support Aegon due to what we discussed previously. Aegon was just uniting the Kingdoms, in let's be fair a very bloodless conquest. I mean the massive field of fire only had 4k dead. The lives lost in the conquest were more then made up by those saved due to the existence of a united Westeros. If Aegon had the right of it with the other Kings, I don't see what makes Dorne special. The only difference was that Dorne was the one bloody episode in the Conquest but as I said, it was the Dornish who chose to make it a blood fest. Also Dorne was probably just begging for Round 2: Electric Boogaloo given how much they raided the Stormlands. Like every other page in F&B contains something about a Vulture King or just plain Dornish raiders. As to the brilliant plan of invading Cape Wrath, they got really lucky Jaehaerys didn't exact any vengeance besides just defending his country.

Aegon did not have the right to do it, he just did it and while in the other kingdoms the folk and nobility went each their way, Dorne was completely single minded in independence, which is not something you can say about the rest of the kingdoms. I don't mind if people supports Aegon, my but as i already told you is the idea of Dorne were to blame for being slaughtered, they just should submitted to the megalomaniac and everything would be fine. In this case is the will of an entire nation, i simply can't support Aegon there.

And yes, that doesn't mean that Dorne's hands are clean but the 1st and the 5th Dornish wars, which honestly were honesrly becayse of  megalomania, to each is own tho.
