To build on the whole hog comment, the Washington Hogs... Washington is known for adding a lot of pork to bills and well the Hogs from the 80's teams could live on forever!

Saw someone suggest Washington Generals is what Rivera meant when he mentioned importance of “military”, and now I can’t stop laughing.

I've seen the suggestion floating around of Washington Red Tails. It's a similar sounding name, but honors the Tuskegee Airmen; who did have a slight connection to DC (one of their five black officers was from DC). There's concept art, I think from reddit originally, that looks pretty good and uses the same color scheme the team already has.

As far as serious suggestions go, I think its a pretty good one.

Still haven’t seen any active players speak out against Desean Jackson’s antisemetic post.

I can tell you as a Jew, you kind of just assume everyone is anti-Semitic until they show you they aren't.

ETA: Sigh, I really like Stephen Jackson too....

Just goes to show that prejudice knows no race barriers.

The stupid fucking non-apology was as bad as the initial posts.

Problem is that can be taken two ways out of context.

Yes, if you just rely on one person giving a quick quote. If you actually read his post his meaning is clear. So I'm not sure what Mark Antony's intent was with the way he introduced it.

Yeah I might’ve read it out of context. The full quote

“We can honor the Jewish heritage and trauma while staying focused on what matters. Jewish people aren’t our problem, and we aren’t their problem. Let’s not lose focus on what the problem truly is, and that’s that black lives still don’t matter in this country.”

idk still dismissive as hell tbh. As if we can only focus on one “problem”

Eagles did penalize Desean Jackson today

Read into it whatever you want, I guess. It's shitty that you misunderstood what he was saying and then tried to make it the opposite of what he meant.

I misunderstood it cause it was poorly phrased on the context doesn’t help. Shouldn't be that hard to flat out condemn anti semitism imo.
