If he died and pence ran for him it might work.id also be cautious about making absolute statements in this environment - there are currently 4 major scandals going on TODAY that would normally cause a presidency to roll over and die, and yet 40% of the population approves of him.

But no, he ain't gonna drop out unless he makes more money and fame that way or loses less. And right now that isnt the issue. That isnt how narcissists work at all.

That's entirely different than the incumbent president dropping out four months from the election.

Yea, that’s the other thing.  I’m not sure Trump dropping out actually helps the GOP anyway.  Biden has a head start on any new challenger and the R’s don’t have anyone on deck that can generate Trump level enthusiasm.

I don't think Biden does have a headstart. He's been running on being invisible. If someone else steps in, Biden would suddenly have to run like a normal politician.

Speculation that Trump may drop out of this race. Given Joe Biden's whole strategy is to pretend he isn't running, Trump has nothing to lose by participating in debates with him. If he drops out, Joe's probably in more trouble. The Democrats can't see past next week.

So you're criticising the Democrats for the strategy of the guy they've picked because it's possible that he's being so successful Trump drops out, which means they might then struggle more, and they're meant to have predicted this?

About two hundred subreddits were banned that had more than 10 active users, and looking at their file really there's only a couple of dozen sizable ones. Still, a good move on Reddit's part. Will be interesting to see if they'll be quick to push down any attempts to revive them under different names.

This cuts both ways. The_Donald was bleeding users the last while (would be interesting to know when this started), but the much more popular leftist ChapoTrapHouse subreddit (dedicated to a podcast,  I think?) was also banned for similar reasons of violating community standards, advocating violence, etc.
