I wonder if it's not a quote coming from the show rather than the books, "The North is mine" scene with Roose Bolton comes to mind. The World of Ice and Fire describes the North as : Quote It is often said that the North is as large as the other six kingdoms put together, but the truth is somewhat less grand: the North, as ruled today by House Stark of Winterfell, comprises little more than a third of the realm.
