Targknight Posted July 23, 2020 Share Posted July 23, 2020 I personally think Targaryens like Aegon The Dragonbane and onwards were Andal Targaryens. Aegon Dragonbane and his brother Viserys hated Dragons and especially Valyrian Culture. They rejected their heritage, and embraced Andal culture. This is why they didn’t marry into house Velayron. Future generations weren’t been able to hatch dragons because of them psychologically not being Targaryens. Egg and Daenery’s brother Viserys weren’t true dragons. So it is possible that those god(s ) used a veto about hatching dragons anytime somebody tried to breed dragons in Westeros.
