The Black Hats are here.  With literal black hats (wait, is this where the phrase comes from?).

Black hats are traditionally a Western trope.  The good cowboys wore the white hat... the bad cowboys wore the black hat.

Got it, thanks.  On an unrelated note I've never seen a cowboy movie...

Oh my... we may have our next target.

Man With No Name trilogy?  Get him into the Spaghetti Western proper?

Go more traditional with the even older movies?

Maybe skip straight to the modern classic like Unforgiven?

:dunno:

Thoughts on Indy actually not being needed in this film? In fact it would have saved some lives and a monkey if he'd stayed home as the Ark ghosts would've melted the Nazis regardless.

Dude, spoiler tags please! Now I'm going to be dreading trauma to the monkey...

If I was God-King of the Universe and could bring back only one fashion trend for men, I would bring back hats.  Even villains look more distinguished with hats covering their bald pates.

Mad Men did its best to bring back hats.  I even bought a Fedora, but I couldn't pull it off.

The ark is a radio to speaking to God.  Belloq turns out to be surprisingly religious.  Although not religious enough to believe in divine omniscience.  Maybe the line would work better if the ark was a megaphone to speak in God's voice? Because really that's what everyone is after.  Power with a capital P.
