Ser Rodrigo Belmonte II
The Caine books have by far been one of my favorite series of all time.. Shatterpoint and RTOS were also fantastic SW novels. Is Stover writing anything new at all these days? His last book was published in 2012. Really craving for some Caine right now! I believe he's been working on various projects but not sold anything. I think he also got burned in the Star Wars Disney takeover, as that cancelled a new series he was working on in the EU. I do know he had a Caine sequel series focused on his daughter in the planning stages.

IlyaP
Jason Momoa would make for an excellent Caine. (Head-canon casting. YMMV.)

Larry of the Lawn
When he narrates for the audience we hear the voice of, you guessed it, Frank Stallone, imitating a punch-drunk Rocky meets Rambo voice.

Ser Rodrigo Belmonte II
Haha i always imagined Caine to be played by someone like Christian Bale or Micharl Fassbender. Someone who can project strength but also be darkly sarcastic, flawed , cynical etc. (minus the indian origins of the character of course)

(I love Momoa, but Khan is probably the best ideal casting.)
polishgenius
Caine should also be quite small. Not tiny but not Momoa
3CityApache
Ugh, I really hoped there was something new about Caine to talk about when I saw this thread.
stonebender
Hard to believe it's been eight years since Caine's Law. Longer than the wait between Blade of Tyshalle and Caine Black Knife, which felt like a lifetime to me.
Gigei
Caine is one of the all-time greatest characters in fantasy fiction! I kinda imagine him more like Mark Ruffalo than anyone else.
wolverine
Agreed. Seems like underappreciated work.
Wilbur
And his audiobook reader for the Caine books is Stefan Rudnicki, who does a terrific job with the character and material.

TazerFace!
Tazerface is glad to know Stover is not dead, though Tazerface is curious as to what he is working on, if someone wants to summarize livestream for Tazerface.

He's pretty much who I always pictured in my head, except more grizzled than he sometimes is. I think Jeremy Rennor would also be bang on.
polishgenius
Neither Tom Cruise nor Jeremy Renner are Indian/part Indian though. Would be nice to get someone who looks like him.
Maithanet
I think Tom Cruise would be a terrible choice for Caine. Caine needs the swagger of a movie star while retaining an everyman feel, that's a big part of his appeal onscreen. That is not Tom Cruise, he's always so handsome/confident he doesn't seem real.
