The Texans finally axed Bill O'Brien, thus setting up the next coach/GM combo to fail spectacularly because the team has minimal talent and no first or second round draft pick in the 2021 draft.

I should know better than to hope, but this seems like a glorious time to be a Dolphins fan.  Would have a decent shot at the #1 overall pick, if it weren't for those meddlesome Jets.  And no tanking required.

Stephon Gilmore has tested positive for the coronavirus. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30060441/source-new-england-patriots-stephon-gilmore-tests-positive-covid-19-no-practice-team

And this is Gilmore on Monday night.

If Mahomes gets it...

But at least they’re forcing coaches to wear masks, or in Gruden’s case, something that resembles the bottom part of a woman’s bikini.

As a Browns fan, I have experience in my team reaping the rewards of Bill O'Brien's idiocy.  Thanks to him, the Browns have Denzel Ward (#4 overall pick) and Nick Chubb (#35ish pick).  They also got Jacob Phillips in the draft this year thanks to the Duke Johnson trade, although he's barely played so far due to injury so not sure if that'll be an absurdly huge win like the other two guys we got from BOB.

Would you rather have Nick Chubb and Denzel Ward or Patrick Mahomes?

Conversation over.

Give Mahomes a year and a half of Hue Jackson and a year of Freddie Kitchens and he's probably washed out of the NFL already.

Reports are that Titans broke COVID protocol and people keep testing positive (up to 20 now). All options on table including making them forfeit against Bills. Vegas lines are down on three games this weekend awaiting who is out and who is playing from COVID. Season may turn into a dumpster fire for more than the Giants and Jets.

It was unavoidable. There's just too many people with too much travel all while specifically doing the opposite of social distancing.

The titans players got together for a practice last week at a local school even though they were specifically told not to. That is avoidable.

Yeah, unfortunately, you're right:worried:

The thing that scares me is teams lying, and it cuts both ways. I'm not the first to have this take, but isn't it better to have an outbreak than to lose just your star QB? And depending on your schedule, and how we decide playoff teams in a season in which teams play an uneven amount of games, would teams also benefit from faking outbreaks?

Only to some degree. You know the peer pressure not to miss the "volunteer" practice was huge.

They were specifically told not to do so. They should forfeit both the Steelers game and this week's.

Frankly, the players should have all partied with Zeke over the summer and gotten over it before the season started.  Covid deaths and morbidity among NFL players are going to be far far less than from head trauma.

A man of your people. You see the players as gladiators. So does your beloved Dolphins' home state governor. The idiot is cool with fill Hard Rock Stadium.

You do realize most teams are probably doing what they did, right?

Those teams didn't get caught breaking the rules with active infections. The rules are the rules are the rules.

Said by a cop winking at his fellow officers as they keep breaking (insert law).
