Chelsea drop points, City drop points, Spurs drop points. It's set up almost too perfectly for a United disasterclass tonight and Sheffield United's first three points of the season.

Sheffield Utd up 1-0 at the moment.

A bit surprised that we actually managed to take full advantage of other teams slipping up. We played some good football at times but this is yet another game where we started slowly and gave away cheap goals. The opposition don't have to work very hard to score against us.

Meanwhile in the Bundesliga.

Dortmund with another loss, this time to Union Berlin, but alas more headlines for Moukoko. First Bundesliga goal in his second starting XI appearence. Obviously youngest goal scorer in Bundesliga history.

Dortmund should be better after the winterbreak, with Meunier and Delaney now returning from their injuries. Meunier and Delaney should be vital, as they provide a bit more experience (and backbone) to this team. Also in January, Haaland should be back in action.

It’s not been a terrible a performance, obviously being 2-0 up, but there’s not really any control. The last couple of years if we’d gone up early against Palace the game’s pretty much over but it’s definitely not today.

I’m not entirely sure continuing to try and play this ultra high line without Van Dijk and Gomez is going to work.

Jesus it wasn’t perfect but that was well above average half for an early away start especially considering our away form this year.

Firmino seems back to his best his first touch is insane

Yes, early start and an away game against a side who have been very difficult to beat.  And after a very tough midweek game where no subs were used.

It’s great to have run up a lead like this considering we’ve not been at our sharpest at converting chances (Jota aside).  It would be nice to manage the game now and shield the defense more.

 So, yeah, my concerns about Liverpool's control of the game didn't age too well. Once the third went in Palace looked done. Having said that Palace did look pretty threatening until that point. I think we're better served to just try and put teams to the sword rather than expecting to grind out 1-0 wins at the moment.

ETA: The repeated shots of Sadio Mane absolutely fuming on the bench as he thought about how many goals he could have scored was quite amusing.
