Not unreal but he does have very good technical ability - well above average. It's not as aesthetically pleasing when Haaland dribbles due to his size as it is when a smaller player with a low centre of gravity does it. He showed excellent technical skills in the buildup to Dortmund's second goal last night and of course he's already among the best finishers in the world. Him and Mbappe are going to be the megastars of the next 10+ years. Pretty poor showing from Juve but they did manage to get a crucial away goal which could end up proving decisive. Well deserved win for Dortmund. After going down to a lucky deflected goal, they took control of the game and were the better side. A late goal for Sevilla does give them some hope though. Consigliere
Reports that the UK government is set to reject request from PL clubs for players to be exempt from hotel quarantine should they play in red list countries during the March internationals. Some good news for clubs though is that FIFA issued amended guidelines for the March international break which state that clubs are not required to release players in cases where there is a mandatory quarantine period of 5 days or more upon their return. I am really curious how the Selecao will look like. I mean no European club in their right mind will allow their star players to travel to Brazil, which pretty much is on every corona red list right now. On how many red lists is the UK atm? Just curious whether they can host any internationals atm.
polishgenius
There was a slight gulf in class between us and Sociedad. 4-0 without really getting out of second gear, and missed several chances to make it more. Dan James with a MotM performance.
Consigliere
That was surprisingly more comfortable than expected. eta. James had a good game but Bruno was the best player on the pitch.
Daemon the Leaner
That was comfortable because Sociedad set up exactly the way our forwards could score. Our forwards are essentially good when there's space to run into, so that was a madness to set up like that against us. Ask Leeds, Leipzig (1st leg)... I think the only game so far this season where we thrived against a low block was Southampton really. Apart from that:
Consigliere
Report in The Times that the UK government will consider granting one-off exemptions for PL players to travel for internationals next month even if the countries are on the red list. Quote Whitehall sources say that clubs will be able to put forward a case for players making trips, even to matches such as the Brazil v Argentina World Cup qualifier, if they can demonstrate the risks involved can be minimised. There will be no blanket exemptions, however, and decisions will be made case by case, taking into account whether infections are rising in the country concerned. ljkeane
So Minamino seems to be doing quite well at Southampton. He's still in theory the kind of player who should be useful for us so if he can find his feet in the Premier League he could be a good squad player for next season. Alternatively if that's not on the cards he should boost his value at least.
A Horse Named Stranger
4th win in a row, while still conceding goals left and right. But at least we managed to crawl out of the relegation zone and find ourselves midtable now and eight points clear. Still conceding at least two goals almost every week is not sustainable. Soylent Brown
He's not having the best of times, but it's not really our defence that's the main issue - we just don't have any ideas going forward.

AncalagonTheBlack
Well, now we have no choice but to play actual defenders in their proper position, pity it took Hendo getting injured to do that.

AncalagonTheBlack
But seriously, how are we supposed to go on run of wins with three main CB’s injured and both midfielders who filled in for them also now injured. What a cursed year!
