Martell Spy
Ocasio-Cortez: 'The case against student loan forgiveness is looking shakier by the day' https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/539157-ocasio-cortez-knocks-biden-on-student-loan-forgiveness-looking Quote Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) responded to President Biden's comments on student loan forgiveness late Tuesday, saying the case against it "is looking shakier by the day." "I do think in this moment of economic pain and strain that we should be eliminating interest on the debts that are accumulated, No. 1. And No. 2, I'm prepared to write off the $10,000 debt, but not [$50,000]," Biden said during the CNN town hall in Wisconsin. Pressed by a questioner in the audience if he would see to cancelation of $50,000 in student loan debt per borrower, Biden said: "I will not make that happen." Ocasio-Cortez, a leading progressive who has advocated for free college and universal student loan debt forgiveness, later said she worried about Biden's posture on the issue. "Who cares what school someone went to? Entire generations of working class kids were encouraged to go into more debt under the guise of elitism. This is wrong," the congresswoman tweeted. "Nowhere does it say we must trade-off early childhood education for student loan forgiveness. We can have both." Ocasio-Cortez also warned her more than 12 million Twitter followers that the "case against student loan forgiveness is looking shakier by the day." "We’ve got the *Senate Majority Leader* on board to forgive $50k. Biden’s holding back, but many of the arguments against it just don’t hold water on close inspection," she added before imploring Biden and leading Democrats to "keep pushing!" They've collected up all the money, and now we have to hope they do what's in our best interests. I definitely don't trust Elon--I think he's the biggest piece of shit. Well, strike that, him and Bezos are both pretty equal. I give Gates a little leeway because I think he believes he's helping people, at least. Bill Gates is serious about his philanthropic efforts, and has a pretty good track record with it. Apart from taxing billionaires far more, we are reduced to hoping they at least partly share our objectives. I havent seen climate science denialism from those listed, but of course what they think a potential solution looks like and how much they care about the well being of others as compared to their personal fortune is what will limit their action. The House of Saud is collectively probably the wealthiest unit, but I'm not aware of MBS being seen in the same light as Putin. Xi has the most access to wealth, but I don't think it's a huge motivation of his.

Zorral
The discussion is who is the richest man, but where in the list of richest people is the Queen of England? Just lately it is reported she was trying to get the amount of her assets and wealth concealed from 'the people.' Well, if rl hid anything in Atlantic City's casino, it's gone as the casino was dynamited this morning into a 70 - 80 ft. mountain of rubble. No basement to the casino so it's all just sitting there now.
HoodedCrow
Queen Elizabeth is very rich. I believe that she patronizes and invests in British companies. Her best quality is a stunning amount of endurance. She was out there during the Battle of Britain. Meanwhile, the Bushes were making money selling arms to Nazi’s. Gee, QE is looking pretty good:) Also, I know someone who is a business man, claiming to be anti monarchist. He company did get some grants at one point. He didn’t turn down tea in a royal garden party for entrepreneurs.

He is working on hygiene and water issues( major cause of disease) He knows a lot about vaccines. You, go Bill. I also worked for his literacy program. Microsoft has moved on.
