(the thought process started from lack of sadness and Baratheon stag, became false sadness for a false stag. To find any musical reference, I wanted to go for the mock stag’s lament as per the mock turtle’s song, but with the letters I had, this translated into mock deer and a kinda random but at least cheery synonym of ‘song’.) It had nothing to do with the musician Castellan mentions because I didn’t google mock deer, and I also didn’t intend the mocking the deer itself although calling Joff mock deer/stag is mockery enough.
