Beginning with technically not-cartoons, but still "animated" kids shows: Sesame Street Muppets Fraggle Rock Paddington An ungodly amount of Looney Tunes - Merry Melodies Same for Hanna-Barbera cartoons (Scooby Doo / Yogi Bear / Wally Gator / Tom and Jerry / Flintstones) Mr Magoo Danger Mouse Dr Snuggles Battle of the Planets He-Man / She-Ra Dungeons and Dragons GI Joe Thundercats Smurfs Ulysses 31 Mysterious Cities of Gold Inspector Gadget I don't think I can include Japanese animes in "my childhood" category, they mostly came late around (at least compared to their Japanese's releases).
