A Horse Named Stranger
Somehow this Liverpool team with Firmino looks way better, than the one last week without him. Wijnaldum and Salah (2x) missed pretty good chances to make things interesting. Mané might have made more out of the Arnold ball had he not stopped his run. Soylent Brown
Firmino has done nothing but fuck up passes, I doubt it has anything to do with him. We're motivated, we need to win, but we've left our most consistent scorer on the fucking bench. We could play for 900 minutes and not score. Klopp will wait until Real score and our momentum has gone, then make changes too late to make a difference.
Consigliere
Emre Can has fucked Dortmund in both legs. He should be asking City for a bonus.
A Horse Named Stranger
Yeah, but it's not like that equalizer wasn't deserver or hadn't been coming. City simply were the better team after they conceded.
A Horse Named Stranger
Oh, and Klopp has decided to go all in apparently. Jota for Kabak (!) and Thiago for Milner.
The Sunland Lord
Dortmund now pinned in their own half. After they scored, did very little.
Soylent Brown
I've noticed that more and more often lately, when we've been really pushing for a goal, TAA has been going a lot more central. I assume that's under instruction.
A Horse Named Stranger
Liverpool now with a fluid 3-3-4/4-2-4 system, with Fabinho switching between midfield and cb? I assume that's the plan.
Soylent Brown
I think Fabinho is just playing in defence. At least our hoofed long balls have a better chance of being accurate now, I guess.
A Horse Named Stranger
And lights out in the Dortmund - City game. Foden flipped the switch there.
A Horse Named Stranger
Your (Liverpool) passign rate is quite good actually. You are comfortably the better side tonight, but if you don't score you can't win. Plain and simple. Ofc, Real isn't really bothered that much, they are sitting on their 3-1 lead from last week. Soylent Brown
Oh well. Play hopeless wallies up front and marvel as they don't score! TAA has been head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch, and there have been some other decent performances too, but it's all for nothing if we don't take our chances. ljkeane
Not a bad performance but we needed to take one of the chances in the first half to put some pressure on Madrid. They were pretty comfortable parking the bus second half and, to be fair to them, defended pretty well in the absence of Ramos and Varane.
Wilbur
Jordan Henderson doesn't occupy a lot of my headspace reserved for "all-conquering offensive genius", but man oh man, have Liverpool looked toothless in his absences over the years. Henderson has "it", whatever "it" is, and without him on the pitch the Tricky Reds can look quite ordinary.
Soylent Brown
Henderson is a huge upgrade over Wijnaldum and Milner, but as much as anything what's hurt us this season is our forwards who, Jota aside, really haven't been all that great. Even Salah, who's still at least scoring, has been pretty poor outside of the box this season.
Soylent Brown
We really should go in for Lamptey in the summer, and move TAA into the midfield.
