The hairy bear Posted May 17, 2021 Share Posted May 17, 2021 The house that lost the most after the rebellion was House Darry, that we are told that lost "half their lands, most their wealth and almost all their power" (and, perhaps, their noble status, although that's unclear). As far as I know, this is the only house that we know of that was actively punished for being loyalist. Robert restored Longtable and its lands and titles to them after the war but he also emptied their treasury. Even fifteen years later they still haven't recovered either their wealth or their status. Targaryeninkingslanding Posted May 18, 2021 Share Posted May 18, 2021 I mean by the end of the war he had the north the riverlands and the vale on his side. The wastelands proved their loyalty last minute and married the new king. the reach and dorne bent the knee and the realm didn't need the struggle of fighting them, so it probably ended without punishment for them. That largely just leaved disloyal stormlanders and crown landers for Robert to "punish," and he for the most-part seemed forgiving to all except Targs. for most other houses it was probably better for his won rule to just make a lasting peace and not appear immediately tyrannical as to inspire another rebellion.
