I’d have thought they needed Henderson or maybe Grealish just for a more impactful player in midfield but Southgate seems to prefer a clear system preferably with more experienced players. Heartofice Posted June 13, 2021 Share Posted June 13, 2021 Maybe the heat was a factor here, bit of long term thinking or just general England style, but we really only played eye catchingly in small bursts. Generally a good performance all round, think the line up worked. Im a little worried about Kane looking quite so lost and barely noticeable. Gonna need him in big games. As good as it is that Sterling scored I’m really not impressed with his general composure and touch. First game, so still some room and time to improve. Also congratulations to Bellingham, who is now the youngest ever player to have played at the Euros. Maybe I should update the trivia quiz.
