Ran Posted June 29, 2021 Share Posted June 29, 2021 Felt like a brutal trench war of a match at some point. So many people limping and looking like they were struggling to move. After Danielson was sent out, it felt like this ending was inevitable. I'm surprised they managed to hold out as long as they did, and a penalty shootout seemed like a possibility (I'd have given the Ukrainians the advantage there, regardless). So it goes. Both teams then seemed to realise that any mistake could cost them the match. And then the red-card ended any hope for a good extra time. Sweden may still have deserved to win but very little in it.
