An incel planned on doing a mass slaughter again. Luckily he was stopped.

Unfortunately many incel-sympathizers will take this as reason further restrict the choice of women and girls in who they sleep with—these same sympathizers typically also attack women and girls for dating/sleeping with “assholes”

If this incel had a girlfriend or wife who’d be an object to serve him and release his frustrations on maybe he wouldn’t have to redirect his sense of rage outward into the public.
he’s a nice guy if you ignore the want for murder.
I’m being sarcastic.

I don't think so.  I think, as the poll suggests, the vast majority of people either don't give a shit about wokeness or view it favorably.  I also agree with the above that it's very unlikely to be a salient factor driving voting behavior.  Railing against wokeness or cancel culture may be a good way to rile up the base, and thus a tactic for GOP candidates to employ during primary season, but it's not going to get you very far in a competitive general.  Put another way, it's virtue signaling.

Oh I wasn’t expressing agreement with such sentiments.

Merely noting their existence.

I do agree on it largely being virtue-signaling. Though at times I do think it’s a bit of concern trolling with some people saying the best way for the left or the democrats to get what it wants is to drop anything that could vaguely be described as “woke”

I find that I can sometimes have success with talking to my conservative colleagues complaints about "political correctness" and "wokeness" by telling them that, to me, those words just mean "being kind to people," which "Jesus would have supported."  At the heart of it, that's all it is.  Being kind and fair.  They usually sputter a bit about it and try and find some other BS, because they don't actually know what any of those words mean.  And playing the Jesus card is always hilarious because its one of their brainwashed points.

“Political correctness” is not good or bad.

The very original concept simply purports to not offend with as many groups as possible or as much of a group as possible.

Text books framing the founders of America as noble heroes whose exploits lifted up everyone in the colonies with no mention of their treatment of anyone who wasn’t a white land-owning male is an example of political correctness.

You do not understand politically correct and its origins.

Politically correct is to include the facts they lived from slavery, and from the vast numbers of prerequisites this provided them, including holding high political offices, insider trading land deals, owning large trading companies, and so much more -- which nobody who wasn't white, male and Them could not, by law do.

However, the term's meanings and usages changed over time to what it is now, used by the alt right, cons, fascists, etc. in a satirical and sneering manner to dismiss anything that brings up, for a single example, that the founding fathers, so many of them, were slave owners and etc. etc. etc.

I do. Before it’s been pushed the right as some left-wing philosophy it was defined as neutral thing.

Not really no.
You’re taking the standpoint of what would be least offensive towards certain groups through certain lenses.

Presenting the founders as egalitarian by standard and more socially progressive than what the expectations for their context were is an example of Political lenses.

Just in the direction preserve some national vintage of idol worship.

I will concede on how many people’s usage of the word has changed over time.

Though I do think you’re wrong to adopt stance of Political Correctness as being something intirsictly a left-wing idea, or something social-progressives engage in.

It’s not. The right does it plenty when they frame particular events and figures in their history as being more “enlightened” than they were.

Something for y’all to be very afraid of.

Fox News is reporting that Russia’s new jet flies at “twice the speed of light”.

I guess the Republicans will start fund raising off of those news reports, telling folks Biden has failed the US military, something they’d never do.

Huh, would have thought someone inventing FTL tech would have been bigger news. Instead I'm hearing about it here.

Senate Panel votes to make women register for draft:

Quote

The Senate Armed Services Committee has approved language in its annual defense policy bill that would require women to register for the draft.

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) approved by the committee behind closed doors Wednesday “amends the Military Selective Service Act to require the registration of women for Selective Service,” according to a summary released Thursday.

It’d be preferable that no one be forced to register for the draft.

Hippy.  I proudly registered for the selective service at 18 and proceeded to contribute absolutely nothing to society for the next seven years.

Oh boy! More women in the military to sexually assault! It’s all about choice!

Only in the incredibly unlikely event there's another draft anytime soon.

My personal experience of the term "political correctness" began in the late 1970s when I was coming out as a gay man in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The first time I heard the term used was by lesbian feminist socialists in Ann Arbor -- and they used it as a way to make fun of themselves. If they thought one of their compatriots was being too serious about a petty issue, they'd make a joke about them being "politically correct." Since my first experience of the term was in that context, I was amazed when right-wing people started using it as if it was a phrase leftists were serious about. Those women in Ann Arbor were just about the furthest left people I've ever know personally, and the term was definitely a joke to them back in the 1970s.

Possibly but not what I meant.

There men and women both have to do their mandatory military service if I am not mistaken. And I am not aware that sexual assault is big issue there.
