Which Tyler
Anyone else watching? I've got it as background, dunno yet how much attention I'll pay it. Hopefully it'll be a good distraction for me. The games are afoot - to paraphrase SACD

Which Tyler
Cool piece of useless trivia there from Andrew Cotter. Uzbeckistan and Lightenstein are the only countries in the world who are doubly landlocked - as in, all the countries they share a border with are landlocked

DireWolfSpirit
I watched several segments of the opening ceremony on an NBC channel on Sling TV here in the U.S. It wasn't live but having it on demand was better for my schedule anyway. Loved several moments, with Matsui, Sadaharu(sp) Oh relaying the torch and Naomi Osaka lighting the cauldron. Of course the drones were mesmerizing. Perhaps the neatest sight of all was the parade of nations. I'm not sure I've ever seen a sharper collection of the best and brightest, all parading the most beautiful collection of outfits, it was a sight imo. I know the pandemic has put Tokyo in an impossible position and I believe they are doing their very best to manage these competing pressures.
