How strong was house manderly militarily after they sent forces south with Robb Stark in comparison to house Bolton since Ramsay was no afraid of attacking hornwood lands since he should have  realized that would cause house manderly to intervene since the dowager lady hornwood was a manderly?

Ramsay's not exactly the brightest bulb in the box. And besides, I am 100% sure that he neither knew nor cared about how many men House Manderly could muster.

As for the first part of that question, House Manderly is clearly the strongest house in the North, and for good reason. They're the wealthiest by far since they have control of the biggest natural harbour in the North, over which they've built the North's only city, and they're also rich off silver mines and arable land. People underestimate them because A, the Manderlys are still considered outsiders the way that House Frey are still considered bridge toll collectors, and B, people don't expect much from Wyman Manderly in either brains or brawn. But meanwhile the man is able to fool Roose Bolton of all people with his plotting, which says a LOT for how smart he really is.

Ramsay wouldn't care, he's not clever or crafty, he's just lucky. Utterly lucky that Roose protects him despite everything, lucky that the North became so divided, lucky that Theon Greyjoy threw a monkey wrench into that chaos, lucky that nobody recognised him when he pretended to be Reek, lucky that Theon was stupid enough to trust him, and lucky that the Northmen assumed he was coming to help them besiege Winterfell.

* They sent 1500-1700 men south with Robb.
* They sent a dozen barges north to WF to help with the siege

* They bring 200 men at arms and 100 knights to WF for Ramsay’s wedding

* There are an uncounted number of men battling Ramsay and holding Hornwood, which Rodrik lacks the manpower to stop

* Wyman is also building 46 war galleys which he has to crew and provide “marines” for.

It’s reasonable to say manderly has already shown us about 2000 men. Given how heavily the city is defended and their recruiting everyone who can hold a spear, being able to use another 2000 or so to fight wouldn’t seem out of place. Ramsay might have known Manderly was stronger but surprise and additional men from Hornwood lands is more than enough to at least hold off Wyman for a while. He has at least 600 or so men from the dreadfort so a few hundred more from Hornwood is likely to  match or exceed what Wyman can deploy while still defending his city

So many ways to skin this cat. Let’s see.

How about this approach:

House Karstark has raised about 3000 men to date. They come from a cold, forested wilderness with no cities, about 500 miles north of White Harbor. Davos says the wind at White Harbor is like a warm bath compared to the freezing wind at the Wall.

So, how much more populous is Manderly’s lands than the lands of the Karstarks? Two times, three times, four times?

Not to mention that his wealth allows him to raise a larger percentage of his population to war than the Karstarks can.

Just on that basis, I would estimate their full strength at around 7000- 8,000. Less the 2000 or so they have lost to date, leaving about 5000-6000 currently.

I would say over 9000. After all Manderlys would need at least so many men for their 46 war galleys. Or I assume that each of them would have to have at least crew of 200 men to be useful against any other real warship.

Common galleys we see have 80-100 oars. They wouldn't have the same number of marines.

But ships like King Robert's Hammer seems to have 400 oars and Fury 300. Any ship that is similar size than either ship mentioned above would need crew maybe 500 men.

Right but those are huge galleys, the exception to the rules. We see 200+ oar ships be only 3 of Stannis' fleet and ~40 or more 100s and then the Myrish galleys with 80 oars. The numbers he's got on ships is going to be closer to the iron fleet or the royal fleet than the royal flagships or largest ships.
