Mike Young
"Wiki of Ice and Fire" site has a problem at the moment. When you access most links of this site (eg) "https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Path_of_the_Dragon" a video or "GOT Video" appears on the screen and follows down as you scroll down the page. This is not a picture-in-picture problem because PiP creates a second video that progresses down the page as well, so two videos. This is very similar to the site "Game of Thrones Wiki | Fandom" (eg) "https://gameofthrones.fandom.com/wiki/Free_Cities" and it's links, but there, you can close the video. At "Wiki of Ice and Fire" the video cannot be closed. The only way I can efficiently use the screen is to "select all" and copy to a word doc. Not very efficient. I don't think that I can fix this problem. It has to be corrected from the site's end. Mike Young
Ran
Thanks for the report. Mike. Can you take a screenshot of what you're seeing? As I don't see this issue. It may help if you clear your browser cache, shut down the browser, then restart and visit the wiki. IT may be you have some cached code that is causing this problem. You can upload to an image hosting site like https://imgur.com/ Or, alternatively, please mail them to me at [email protected] and I'll get our adtech team on it. Can you tell me what screen resolution you're at? It looks like the new video tech we have does not know how to act at certain resolutions. Should be fixable easily.
