But those are forgivable offenses. The NW is not a monarchy. The Lord Commander must judge fairly. Jon did not do that. He was easy/soft on Mance Rayder, who is more deserving of death. Mance Rayder, Jon Snow, and Janos Slynt are all brothers of the NW. Jon will be remembered as the commander who failed Westeros in its hour of need. It was Jon who becomes guilty of treason soon after he killed Janos Slynt. He ordered a sworn man of the watch to take his sister from Ramsay. It's illegal and violates the law of the watch. It's not neutral to get involved in Ramsay Bolton's affairs. If one of the two deserved to die, it's Jon.
