Football: Rangnick past me again

Not a good game but Rashford shows up with a late winner again. Good link up from all three subs. Every game highlights just how poor our midfield is though. Bruno is the only one worth keeping. Every other midfielder needs to be offloaded and players who can actually pass properly brought in.

Salisu looks to have the makings of a quality player. Doubt he remains at Southampton for too much longer. Meanwhile, Vestegaard has gone back to being a liability now that he's no longer playing in a system designed to mitigate his weaknesses.

Armstrong was a lucky boy though. Should've been sent off for that challenge on Laporte.

Very Brighton performance by City. All the play but really struggled to create chances.

Also I see Thomas Frank is in danger of going off the rails. After somehow making himself the dickhead in a plucky underdog performance against Manchester United, he's followed up by getting a red for running on after the game to scream at some Wolves players, and when the ref booked him for it he screamed at the ref instead. All while Brentford after their good start to the season are on a run of two wins and one draw in ten games, including four losses on the trot now.

It's one of those weird situations though where Norwich are 17th but every team below them has played fewer games, including Burnley, who're five points behind Norwich but have five games in hand. In fact if all the teams below Norwich took just one point per game they've still to play, all four teams would be level and Norwich would be bottom on goal difference.

Well we're winning, but there has been some awfully sloppy stuff from some of our players.

Fabinho has looked a lot sharper today, so that's good, but Firmino has been pretty terrible. It's too much to hope that Klopp will sub him off, but can we at least get Jota going through the middle for a bit?

Jones has had some nice moments, but always looks like he's about to be knocked off the ball.
