As we agreed to in the previous topic, whatever we're discussing is always, no matter what, the progressive's fault.

Please continue!

Energy prices?  Maybe Hunter should have read Art of the Deal? (unless, gasp!, there were different goal in play besides energy independence and prosperity for the US?)

No foreign wars?  War monger trump tried to start a shit of ton of wars to benefit the military industrial congress but brave folks in the senate, congress, and entrenched bureaucracy stopped him. (Or maybe not, but I started ignoring NYT over a decade ago and the world is making more sense).  Still, military spending benefits the 1% connected way more than almost any of us folks on this board.

<side note, is there a harder keep the vowels straight word than bureaucracy in English?>

Beauteous, but at least strunk and white told us never to use it.

Pretty rad you think we should dismantle the MIC, comrade, let's do it.

@SpaceChampion

Does this mean that RFK Jr thinks his cousin JFK Jr is actually alive and working with Trump to save the planet from pedophile-space alien-communist-florists?

Wait, I thought RFK Jr. had been dead for 30 years...  And was one of the Kennedys the QAnon crowd was predicting would return from the dead any day now to help the coup.

Check the previous US politics thread. Ormond said something about the John Smith Snr. John Smith Jnr. John Smith the  second, John Smith the third shizzle

And yes, that RFK is actually's Bobby's kid. And yes, he went off the deep end wrt vaccines a long, long time ago. One of those Andrew Wankfield believers, unfortunately.

The fact that left-wing anti-vaxx crazies are allied with right-wing anti-vaxx crazies is incredibly disturbing.

Is RFK Jr. left wing other than his idiocy with vaccinations?

Are there even true left wing anti-vaxxers?

Yeah, there are.  Mostly new agey, hippie, disphit, stuff that predates COVID but certainly carried over.  There are also some generally left leaning people who for very understandable historical reasons don't trust the government or the medical community to have their best interests at heart and won't get vaccinated

Dozens of Democrats demand Biden release legal memo on student debt cancellation
Warren, Schumer and other top progressives want answers on what Education Department lawyers think about erasing large swaths of student debt.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Sen. Elizabeth Warren and dozens of other Democrats on Wednesday called on President Joe Biden to show his cards on student loan forgiveness and release a legal memo his administration prepared about his powers to cancel student debt.

The new request for the documents by 85 House and Senate Democrats comes as progressives are once again ramping up their pressure campaign to convince Biden to cancel large amounts of student debt ahead of the midterm elections.

“Publicly releasing the memo outlining your existing authority on cancelling student debt and broadly doing so is crucial to making a meaningful difference in the lives of current students, borrowers, and their families,” the lawmakers wrote in a letter to Biden that was shared with POLITICO. “It has been widely reported that the Department of Education has had this memo since April 5, 2021 after being directed to draft it.”

The letter was led by Warren and Schumer, and Reps. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Katie Porter (D-Calif.).

Sooooo...a seemingly rather insignificant statistical number?  Are there names?  Jenny McCarthy?  She's said to lean liberal, unless it's about vaccines, and then she'll partner with whomever she needs to further her viewpoint.

Left leaning folks with a, "very understandable historical reasons" who don't trust the government?  Are you referring to African Americans?  Conspiracy theorists?  Or some other group?

I'm willing to look at things, but the the idea of a liberal, left leaning anti-vaxxer feels more mythical at this point.

Just my opinion at the moment.
