Football: Deadline Day

No disrespect to Norwich, who have been no pushovers these past few weeks, but that was definitely a good opportunity to rotate and rest some players.  Of course that much rotation disrupts the team’s style and flow, especially since we don’t have any back-up for Trent’s attacking role.  But we had plenty of room to course-correct with some subs, if needed.

Chelsea nicked a late winner but I haven’t been bothered about their results in quite a while.  Everton lost while Burnley and Watford won and Newcastle drew, so the Lampard revival is more of a yo-yo so far and relegation is an actual risk — they should be thanking Liverpool for beating Norwich. (I’d rather see Burnley relegated than Everton)
