mcbigski
Had a good time watching the games last night. Not a big basketball fan in general, but UConn 95, and a Bristol guy. Clingan's mother was a year or two behind me in high school. Not a lot of women my height, so remember her for sure. Glad to see him contributing, and hoping for more going forward the next year or two. Three probably a stretch. This is not financial or betting advice. But our huskies are a 7 or 8 point favorite after winning every tournament game by double digits, IIRC. And no disrespect to SDSU, but UConn apart from five weeks from about Christmas has been better than solid. Got as high as #2 overall before hitting their losing streak. And hasn't lost to non conference teams all year. Rhom

They have great defense, crazy depth, shooting and lots of size. 7’2” freshman Donovan Clingan has been a revelation, and they no longer need Sanogo on the court at all times to be effective like last year. They played pretty sloppily on offense today with some dumb turnovers and still won by 21 at Florida. I didn’t expect this. I thought they’d make the leap next year with the class coming in 2023, but happy to be surprised. I’m gonna pull a @Tywin et al. and toot my own horn. This team made it boring for non-Uconn fans during the tourney, but it was a complete blast for me. Just happy to be back and competing at the highest level again. This run rivals the ‘14 one. Good shit! Argonath Diver, DireWolfSpirit and Ferrum Aeternum

mcbigski
My mom can't remember much and while I can remember the music to the Husky fight song, I'm going to have to ask her about the words. I'm sure she can remember more than I will. It was only ever played by the band during my years, but apparently there are also lyrics. KingintheNorth4
That was one of the most dominant runs that I've seen in the tournament. Among the new bloods, UConn is the most decorated program, though I understand if some folks give them blue blood status.

It’s a silly debate, but at least we got this gem out of it Rhom, Ramsay B. and KingintheNorth4 1
Tywin et al.
As a kid I always thought everything Connecticut based was considered blue blood.

I thought every school had a session during freshman orientation where you learned the fight song. Maybe that's just us southern schools. I know we learned it at Murray State and all my Western Kentucky friends are obnoxious singing their song. Just about everyone associated with UK seems to know that one too. (They do put the lyrics up on the scoreboard at football games though.) Ferrum Aeternum
Argonath Diver
Iowa's fight song was often sung by the crowds, but only the easy "Fight Fight Fight for Iowa" bits, not the weird parts about loyal sons and daughters and what not, except the real show-offs among us.
