The success of these non-professional YOUNG union organizers on Staten Island and their methods -- all legal, such as helping with childcare and transportation for the voting employees -- also keeping out the OLD professionals who don't actually deal with the workers, but only with the capital/owner/management, and who also tried to sabotage the SI amazon union efforts  --brought to mind the successes of some of our local YOUNG politicians whom we label evidently for want of anything better, 'progressive', such as AOC, and one of my own district's council members, Christopher Marte.  He's the only politician from my district with whom I have had personal interaction, due to his own efforts, and this interaction has been ongoing ever since he began his political life.  Others only send mass mailings, and do it only when there's an election in the offing. 

Here's the latest of what Chris has done -- just yesterday. He’s so smart.  He, his young and elderly, and admit it, attractive workers were gathered by our local supermarket -- as happens frequently.  He'd achieved 10 million dollars for improvement to our district.  He presented a wish list of how it might be spent.  We got to pick three from the list.  What a smart way to stay in contact with the voters, show them what he’s done, and what may be done with what has been done.

My three picks were all ways to spend money in the local public schools, such as equipment for the science labs -- or even building one! -- investing in the school library, and hiring more teachers.  There were other choices that I also approve of, such as for our dreadfully neglected public spaces and so on.

In other Trumpy news, he's endorsed Dr. Oz in the Pennsylvania Senate race.  Somewhat surprising for two reasons.  One, Oz's chief rival, David McCormick, has a lot of Trumpist ties.  Two, McCormick is slightly leading in most polls, and more importantly there are still a massive amount of undecideds (for the primary).  Another risky endorsement for Trump just as he's hedging on his endorsement of David Perdue in the Georgia governor's race against Brian Kemp.  Kemp has stabilized his lead and may not even require a runoff to defeat Perdue.

Interesting, wonder if the hospital was a Catholic one or run by another religion.  If the woman was a patient there, wouldn't this be a violation of her HIPPA rights?  Not that it matters as apparently, punishment of women is what really matters.

From other stories released now we learn that probably the woman arrested had a miscarriage not even a self-induced abortion.  But there IS NO WAY TO KNOW whether that's the case or not.  Of course either one shouldn't mean she should be arrested for murder, held for over 5 days in prison on $500,000 bail (raised by a group trying to help women in Texas with their reproductive medical issues), while being harrassed and investigated since JANUARY.

Texas you need to be hit by the Hurricane of Hurricanes and washed into the Gulf.

This is the shyte historically that women put up with from men who know nothing at all about women, reproduction, labor, childbirth, raising children but who are determined to decide.

O so clever.  Any woman who really needs an abortion in Texas needs to leave the state or try something or other, and then go the hospital or a doctor or somebody for care, and those people get arrested -- but nobody knows whether it is a miscarriage or not.  But we can tie up the entire legal system with prosecutions against thousands and thousands and thousand of people -- and get loads of moola too, via the ridiculous bail shyte system.

Not to mention neighbors, your own children, fellow employees, anybody, spying on you and your body and actions -- for REWARD -- on all women.  This is even more inclusive for spying and reasons for spying than the Stassi in East Germany back in the day.

HIPPA doesn't applies when a law is broken.  I'm sure Texas anti-abortion law has a stipulation that not reporting is subjective to a fine.
