Braavosi Citizen
Maybe...Strong Belwas really was the target. He's supposed to be a great fighter. A lot of money is at stake. Someone could have wanted to rig the games, knock Strong Belwas out of the competition so their fighter has better odds. Similar things have happened before in the books. Also he likes Locusts. In all seriousness, if it is an assassination and not another scheme, I think that either Daenerys wasn't the target or whoever planned the assassination was incompetent. If they're trying to kill Dany the plot is really bad. Almost Cersei level plotting. Poison some food she doesn't even like, which many other people will be in contact with, with a poison that doesn't kill instantly...Does someone not even mention that the honeyed locusts taste funny? It's just such an odd choice of dish if they want to poison Daenerys. If they're trying to poison her through food, you would think they would have some idea about what she likes to eat. Targaryen Restoration
On 4/10/2022 at 6:51 PM, Allardyce said: Hizdahr was very suspicious. A girl from the west would find the dish disgusting but Hizdahr' people relish the stuff. He did not eat a single locust. Hizdahr is under the protection of the Harpy. Because Hizzie knew it was poisoned. He is the son of the Green Grace. They were staging a coup in public.
