Haaland is also very good technically. He's a big fella but is certainly not clumsy with his feet. He's got good close control and is a good dribbler as well. Kane is currently better at hold up and link up play but Haaland has all the attributes to improve that side of his game.

Yep, Haaland is gonna work just fine under Guardiola. Said that like 2-3 threads ago. Haaland really isn't some useless object in the box that needs to be fed and just provides goal. He can and does drop deep and provide link up play. He can certainly improve on this side of his game, but it's already decent. The only warning sign might be the injury problems he had this season. Let's see whether this was just a bad season, or the early signs of real problems.

UEFA has approved the final format for European competitions which takes effect from the 2024/2025 season. Changes from the original proposal include a reduction of games in the group stage from 10 matches to 8. The two CL places that was to be awarded based on club coefficient will now be awarded based on country coefficient instead.

Adeyemi to Dortmund is also official now. So they got their Haaland successor.

Again, looks like a fairly good window for Dortmund, despite losing Haaland.

Now that Rüdiger to Real is apparently a done deal, can we now also get confirmation of Christensen to Barca, please?

The thing is that with this style of refereeing, even when he does make the right call no one believes it. As a bonus, players get more and more nervous as time goes on and wrong calls (either really wrong or only perceived as such) pile up.

Tired looking performance from Liverpool. That's to be expected I suppose, especially with the deflation of dropping points at the weekend probably taking a bit of the focus off the league. Hopefully Fabinho's injury isn't too serious.
